This was first flat packed item I have put together. All pieces present (and some spares). Went together easily and the fit looks good. There are little clips for the back where there are no screw holes so I haven’t put those in yet, as they haven’t gone in so easily (I’m 69 so not great at these things). The pieces seem quite sturdy so I believe good value for money. Looks ideal for my use.

Before I get into this review I'd just like to achnowledge the drive's part in this. The thing is I ordered two of these and didn't realise how damn heavy they were. So the driver who delivered them struggled big-time. Whoever's reading this at Amazon, give that man a raise! ;) Yeah, so I wasn't expecting any problems in putting these two storage displays together, mostly because you kind of expect quality from HOMCOM. But it threw me back a bit how good these storage shelving bookcase displays are. Not only do they look good, but they're as heavy as you might expect a good quality wood to be. Okay, so maybe I'm not familiar with all the woods and what particle boards are, but whatever it is it's providing great quality along with an affordable price. I mean, £39 — are you having a laugh? LOL I've bought some wood-like shelving before, where unboxing it felt as it you were opening an empty box. Not so with this material. And though it might be the norm now, I really love the way it all fixes together with its cam & bolt-like machine head screws. You also get some little plastic escutchions or whatever they're called that allows you to have your display attached to the wall I guess for greater stability. For me though, I won't need to do that. I'm looking forward to throwing in (placing nicely) a whole heap of books that I need to have displayed for me. ;) Even though it all went together as expected, I did sort of mess up. Or I thought I did. I had purposefully set all the small shelves with the 'C' holes pointing upwards so I wouldn't make a mistake with their related long pegs, but for whatever reason either the holes for the 'C' pegs weren't correct or I just didn't notice anything until I wondered why the shelves looked staggered. So I'm thinking that perhaps it might be a good idea to mark the boards as to where the correct 'C' holes are in preventing any silly mistakes. ;) Lucky for me, I bought two of them, so I knew what to expect, even though I should have been looking a little more closely to what I was doing. Sometimes my hands tend to move quicker when I'm not thinking things through. LOL

Dowels split very easily. I bought the recommended boxes to fit it but they don’t fit the unit

Needed a shelf, ordered this one, thinking it was gonna be less sturdy and smaller. The actual shelf is big enough, stands perfectly, includes all the needed equipment to construct it. Definitely recommend.
