The clip to secure it broke immediately. Other than that it does the job like it is supposed to

It arrived broken (the red clip). I knocked it down a star for that (will raise it if fixed). Aside from arriving broken, it's a pretty solid 4 star trainer. It will fog your mask up, you will inhale your own condensation, and it will whistle like crazy, but other than that it's pretty accurate. Definitely a must if you don't have access to a cascade system to be on actual air. I would say it's actually a bit harder than actually being on air, so it's beneficial in that regard as well, and it does a pretty good job replicating the feeling of being on air. All in all, it's worth it.

My firefighter grandson was thrilled with his training mask.

Bought a pack of 5 for my crew at the fire station. We use this in combination with a weighted vest for workouts. We all noticed improved fitness, especially VO2 max improvements. Breathing an SCBA during training or structure fires is simple, compared to the blast mask. Recommend this for all fire departments.

Broke on first use with minimal activity. The connection piece to my Scott’s mask is a flimsy plastic and broke while connecting. I spoke with a buddy who purchase this before me and he mentioned his broke as well within a couple uses. Amazon covered refund.

This thing is a great tool for working on better breath control and lung conditioning. It has 6 openings that can be changed just by twisting the cap. It can be a little difficult to get on just because you attach it to the scba mask like a regulator and it wants to twist the settings rather than slide into position, but other than that it is a solid, well-built tool. Way cheaper than a blast mask and even fully open the resistance is stronger. Save yourself some money and pick this up!

My girlfriend just finished her college certificate for firefighting and this works perfectly for her training and fits right into her SCBA mask. It’s a little hard to get on but it’s still amazing!

Cheaper version of the blast mask that doesn’t sacrifice quality. Came on time and in good condition.
