Good yard sprayer
I've ran this for 5 tanks now. It's a good sprayer for your yard. I like the product itself. The recirculation part is a major plus as it keeps the chemical mixed up. I run the pump during filling to throughly mix the chemicals. The booms work good. The wand? Cheap. I don't like the wand, I'll be replacing it soon. My real complaint? The nuts and bolts sent with it. I was missing 4 bolts, couple of washers. Which, during assembly? Yup. Run to the hardware store. Other's have complained about it leaking out of the box. Tighten the clamps, good grief, how hard is that? The hose leading from the pump to the booms was too short. I cut a piece from the wand hose and fixed that. One of the clamps on a boom arm was loose, but the screw head on the clamp was too the inside of the boom arm. I had to cut the zip tie, loosen and rotate the clamp, then tighten and replace the zip tie. All in all, with a hardware store 10 minutes from me, the missing parts added about an hour to the assembly. Other than the missing parts and the clamp problem? I'm happy with the unit. I love the recirculating feature as it keeps the mix, mixed up. I will completely replace the wiring. That's not a issue with the sprayer as they have to do what is needed to fit many different applications. Just saying so you are ready to replace the wiring from your lawn mower to the pump. I'm going to replace the on off switch with a rocker switch plus hard wire it to the battery. My preference. I'll be using my sprayer a lot so I need a dedicated wiring solution. The wand? I'll be replacing it soon. The wand works, yes. Do I like the wand? No. I'm still giving it a 5 star rating. I like this sprayer and am happy that I bought it. When it comes to something like this? You will never have a (one size fits all) kind of system. Too many variables for the manufacturer. So. All in all? I like the sprayer. Would recommend it.

I am a Dandelion Mass Murderer. My only problem was running out of chemical and only having half what I needed. Gallon jug listed more then I needed BUT I forgot to read closer and see that it was listed for Southern grasses not Northern like where I live, which means double strength. The spray wand is a little awkard using fiber re-inforced hose which is stored by wrapping it too tightly around clamps up front. That leaves it wanting to be a coil even more then what that hard plastic wants to be normally. Draws a little under 6 amps (measured with my Fluke 75 multi-meter) on my John Deere X320 Lawn tractor, I saw no drop in voltage on the charging system when the power is engaged and the engine is running. From the factory the switch and harness hooks to the battery with the alligator clamps you expect to see on a motorcycle battery charger. Simple and effective. I may run it through my fused 12 volt adapter as the load is small enough and the fuse for that circuit is 10 or 15 amps. Set at 20 psi on the guage and running at 5 mph gives nice coverage. This is pretty much full out with the lawn tractor whose top speed is supposed to be 6 mph but it only shows 5 on my gps. If you've never pulled a sparyer before, get up early on a calm, dewy day and let your tracks guide you. Makes it easy. If you Don't get the chance and the winds are down, follow the tracks you've left by following the same pattern each and every time you've mowed the lawn. You know you do. The mount is a tad high for my lawn tractor, the lowest setting has it mostly level, I would have felt better with a little more play on the low side but this is designed to work behind a 4 wheeler and they have a higher attach point. Also, this is listed as a pesticide sprayer on the booklet. The instructions on how not to contaminate yourself are good and should still be followed with herbicide. The herbicide we mostly use here is Amine 24D. If you don't know what Agent Orange is, look it up. Granted it was Amine at a stregth to make this look like weak Tea but really you should limit your exposure to it as much as possible. Great product with listed parts online if you should ever need to replace something.

Excellent Sprayer, Mediocre Wand
I have a good size properly that I would treat with a regular pump sprayer, so I was debating between a backpack sprayer and a tow-behind. Ultimately, I need to treat about an acre of lawn as well as repetitive weed intrusion from the edges of the woods that border 3 sides of the property, so I felt a tow-behind was better. Assembly was easy and took about 30 mins. Instructions were pretty clear, however as others have pointed out, some steps were a little confusing since they use the same book for 3 models. You just need to pay attention to which model you have and which instructions apply. There were only on about 3 steps that might trip you up, but it could be clearer. It is nice they include torque specs for the bolts/screws. As others have mentioned, I did need to tighten up some of the hose clamps to prevent leaking. It's very sturdy - well made. I have the 31-gallon unit, and it's stable on hills as well. The booms work really well. They are spring loaded to "break away" if you hit something while towing it, and they collapse down for storage. There are also instructions on winterizing and breaking it down to store it from a wall peg. Very helpful. Spray coverage is quite good. It took a few passes to get used to speed so I get adequate coverage. I think I was running about mid-throttle for a good coverage. The downside is the handheld spray gun. It's terrible. It worked fine for a first pass with Roundup on woods edge weed intrusion, but a few days later I was doing a lawn weed spray and needed to hit some areas with the wand. It started leaking. Tightened it up, but it still leaks from the valve. It's junk. I already ordered a better replacement for about $28 here on Amazon. There are a few drawbacks to keep in mind. This is a tow-behind unit, which means you need to be able to get it to where you want to spray. Because of that, there are some places where it could be difficult to use. I have some areas I can't get the tractor into, so I need to use a regular hand-pump sprayer for those (wand won't reach). And driving the tractor with the wand in your hand is hard due to the hose - kind of like vacuuming while trying not to run over the cord. But, overall it was a huge time saver. I did the entire lawn in about 30 mins, and it would have taken 4-6 hours by hand with a backpack sprayer and I can't realistically reach much of the lawn with hose-based sprayers. This thing definitely made a big improvement. I plan to also spray for ticks and such, so this will easily get multiple uses per year.

Gerat Product and Customer Service
I was a little skeptical about purchasing this product, but I am glad I did. I debated between the 21 gallon and the 31 gallon sprayer and am glad I went bigger for the extra $20. The hand sprayer works much better than I expected with the variable spray pattern, and when I want to dose the plant with water I take the end off and use it as a garden hose. The 2.2gpm pump is a perfect match for the tank. The only issue I had when assembling this is the hoses for the boom weren't quite the correct length, and the clamps weren't quite tight enough for a leak free fitting, but those were easy fixes. I did make a couple of modifications for easier use though. I cut the 3/8" hose and added a couple garden hose ends about 6 inches behind the hand wand, then installed quick connects so I can easily and quickly go from the hand wand to a garden hose. The other modification I did was snipping off the battery clamps and replaced those with an automotive type plug in connector that's weatherproof (metripak 20 series). This eliminates the worry of the clamps falling off or grounding out on the tractor frame. The only thing I am in need of is a watering head that can deliver a gentle like rain shower for watering rather than the supply spray nozzle, when is a little harsh for everyday watering, and it's hard to find a 3/8" diameter watering wand so the pump can deliver enough pressure. My quest for this will continue, and when I find something that will work, I will share. I'll take a photo of the electrical connector later and upload it to the review if I can. As for the boom, it works ok but won't be my go-to. The pattern seems to work as advertised, will just take quite a few passes in my option to achieve the desired results. Maybe this is good for a smaller yard rather than acres. Overall, a very nice product and I would recommend it for a purchase. Northern Equipment has great products and great customer service. Will buy again from them.

Best value that I could find in a pull behind sprayer!
Dislike/Needs Improving: The box, like other reviews, the box needs to be beefed up, but I found no damage even with several punctures on the box itself as most all of the smaller components are stored inside the tank. I added 2 thin large diameter washers to the inboard side of the wheels on the axles just to prevent wear on the wheel and the supplied washers on the outside of the wheels as the manual instructed. Plenty of clearance with the added washers and the wheel on either side could slide in & out. Likes: Everything else about the sprayer was surprisingly high quality and well thought out for a homeowner level sprayer and the spring loaded booms with quick pin allow you to fold the boom arms in so that storage width is almost the same as the tank or wheel width. Plenty of height adjustment for the tongue height to elevate the front of the tank slightly so that all liquid runs to the pump pickup and drain location at the rear center of the tank. The electrical hookup and switch were plenty long for use with my zero-turn mower that has the battery under the seat platform below where my feet rest. The spray wand worked well and you can use it at the same time as the boom sprayers at a reduced pressure or use the 2 shut-off valves and just the hand sprayer to get close to a 20 foot horizontal spray with the open narrow stream. Good storage of the spray wand hose and the storage reel has a place to keep the wand stored vertically within each reach if you so desire. Well satisfied after the first use and hopefully this will last for several years!

A Real Game Changer for Weed Control
Took about 1 leisurely hour to put it together. I was short some of the 5/16 bolts and nuts, but fortunately had spares in my junk box. Directions were OK, but bolt shortage caused me to have to re-assemble the chassis. Axel washers were not packaged with other hardware but strung over the wand. I have 40 acres of forest in the western Sierra and am working to make it healthier, removing ground and ladder fuels. I have used this sprayer for just about 6 hours now, dispersing six 30-gallon loads. It really puts the herbicide out there. The 2-head spray manifold is a bit flimsy but works well and stows nicely for storage, The swath is actually more like 9 ft. I was pulling it behind my Suburban, 4WD over modest terrain. The wheels are a bit small for the forest floor but fine for yard work, bushings rather than bearings, but with a grease Zerk. The wand is all plastic fittings, rather leaky, but works. The wand hose was somewhat short for my application. The pump seems pretty robust. I powered it independently with a 20 Amp-Hr LiFePO4 battery, which only had to be recharged about a 30 minutes during the 6 hrs. Plan to replace the wand with brass, add a wand hose extension, possibly retrofit with 16" tires (will require raising the tank), and pull it with a 4WD Quad (or maybe retrofit to mount to the quad rack.) Will provide a 6-month update.

High price, poor quality.
Box arrived beat up with no padding, luckily nothing was damaged. Everything is cheap. I had hoses pop off twice because the clamps are poor quality. Drain would not seal, had to use Teflon tape and thicker seal to get it to stop dripping. Bolts and nuts were missing, probably because of the damaged box.

Lots of adjustments are needed
It arrived in the box that was a little beat up, tape holding the top to the sides was broken at both ends. Opened box up and I was hopeful that all the parts were there. fortunately they were. The small box the pump should have been in was crushed and the pump was just laying in the large box. To assemble the sprayer, you need to go to a website and get the assembly instructions there. (saves paper for them, I printed it out for my convenience and I prefer a paper copy) Assembly was pretty straight forward. After I had it assembled, I filled it with water and powered it up. I had a small fountain, The hose clamps I had to tighten were fine, my mistake was I assumed the factory ones were tight. Turned it off and tightened all the factory installed hose clamps. Powered it back up and still had a small leak where the hose barb comes out of the regulator. It was coming from where the hose barb was screwed into the regulator. Disconnected hose and unscrewed the plastic hose barb, There I found "the almost 1 wrap" of Teflon tape was not enough to cut it. Wrapped it with new Teflon tape and re-installed. Leak was gone. All good now or so I thought. I then tried adjusting the regulator that is supplied. It is supposed to control the pressure and divert some of the liquid from the tank back into the tank to keep it mixed up. Well, I tried increasing and decreasing the pressure. When decreasing, the pressure would drop for a little bit and some water would discharge back into the tank, then the discharge would slow down and stop while the pressure started to climb again without touching the regulator. So the regulator is not really regulating. It would be nice if I could control the pressure better to reduce the amount of fine mist that is created from the higher pressure. 3 stars are due to regulator issue, otherwise it's a decent unit. ***Update: I emailed the company for support on 8/11. 10 days later still have heard nothing from them.

Great service
I had an issue with a part that was broken, I assume, in transit. Left a message on Amazon and Farol called back within 2 hours and confirmed replacement part would be sent. Great little sprayer, good overall quality, although nozzles tend to drip. Easy to assemble, just take care to follow the correct model as there are two different models covered in the assembly instructions
