does this saw come with the Makita orginal case?

The saw doesn't have a case. It kind of sucks because the base of the saw looks like it can bend easily if you're not too careful.

Is the base plate durable? it's thinner than my hitachi saw's plate, but didn't feel flimsy like a cheaper skil saw. will it get bent up easily?

I have 4, and they are extremely durable, the oldest 1 is over 10 years. The only way to bend the base is by dropping it onto concrete, a fall that would break your other saws.
