Livin' on a Prayer
I have had the worst week "camping" so far but this thing gave me hope. I'll wow the story after the review because this isn't a recipe on a clickbait site. This bulb is replacing a something like $25 battery-powered pull-up lantern and it's easily twice as bright and doesn't need constant battery replacement. It does have a hook attachment, which is great whether your tent has a hook or loop at top. The churning sound in the video is my laptop cooling stand. Yes I'm doing hero wars in the video. Don't judge me. I'm also running some AI image generation so I can't really play real games right now. That aside, this light is bright, easy to connect, and cheap as hell. The cord is plenty long for a tent. You could use a phone charger, a power strip with USB, or supposedly a power bank, though the one I tried didn't make it work. Might have been too low on power. This one is connected to my laptop though. So what happened to bring us here? Well, as I said, this has been a vacation from hell to an extent. First off, we forgot a ton of things. Second, the weatherproofing on my tent is virtually gone, as are the connections to two opposing corners. We had a massive rainstorm and I had to quickly excise any electronics to the trailer just in case. Then the trailer started leaking at the vents. Then, as I was trying to get it of the tent to use the facilities, I tripped over the threshold and at the very least bruised a couple ribs. Don't get old, everyone. We've spent hundreds fixing and preparing since the first day but I'm hopeful that things are going to get better before good is over and we have to go back to 110f+ heat. The worst thing though? The Mexican restaurant in walking distance from our campsite is gone this year! Looks like a big remodel though, so positivity is needed! Anyway, for anyone that read this far: 10% recommend these lights. I tried to be as subdued as possible as I said "holy [expletive] when I saw how bright this bulb is. If it's for a tent or any small space, you can't really go wrong. Hard 5/5 here. 8/5 really because it so exceeds my expectations. It's really a very simple plug and play bulb. The USB plug isn't heating up, the bulb is cooler than you'd think for such a bright LED, the color is super soothing warm white, and if I had any gripe it's that there's no dimmer. You won't care though. It's the perfect brightness.

This is a great plug in light!
I bought these lights in case of a power outage and just to have them around if I ever need them. I have a little hand held solar powered charger - 2 actually and I can plug these lights into the USB ports on the solar charger! It comes in a package of 2 with an extra cord that will join them together so you only need to use 1 USB port instead of 2 if you want to use them both at the same time. I just realized this today after I looked at the pictures more closely because I had no idea what that extra cord was for lol. So I tried it out and it works! It also has an on off switch on the wire which is great. When I'm not using it, I can turn it off with the button that way it won't keep using solar and drain my battery bank or if I only want one of them on when they are both attached. They are not a bright white. They have the yellow tint to them so they are not the brightest, but they are bright enough. Not dim - but not like a clear glass LED. But I like them so much - they are handy - that I reordered another set and will probably get a couple more. But I'm going to see if I can find clear glass ones first.

Better than I expected for the price!
I bought a 4-pack of these and I have to say they are very good! They are small and compact and very light, very easy to pack and carry with your regular gear! They start off a bit reddish but like all LED lights they get brighter and whiter the longer there on! I tested them all on my Grid Doctor solar generator system and they work a charm and all 4 lights together only draw 18-20 watts of energy from the system ,meaning they will run thru the night without draining the power from the generator. The splitter cables provided worked as expected and allowed me to plug 4 lights into only 2 USB sockets and all 4 lights work very well, giving me more light than I expected from them and will prevent having to use propane lanterns or other means of fuel generated light inside my hot tent! Overall I am very happy with this product and I am glad I got them to include in my survival and camping gear! I would recommend them to friends and family, for the price of a 4-pack you you just can't go wrong! The lights actually exceeded my expectations of them. They are only about the size of a regular light bulb so that makes packing them into a small spot in a bag or box of other gear very easy and convenient! Nice product,Thank you!

Works Great, ~6 hours on 10K mAH battery pack, 500 Hours is False/Misleading
The initial seller/manufacturer claim of 500 hours on a 20K mAH battery pack is false and misleading. That math does not work in a reality based world of truth. More likely, you will get 3-6 hours, but that depends on a lot of factors. So I did my own empirical tests. My initial impression: they are plenty bright, quality is decent, cords appear to be strong and well made, but the packaging was questionable and it looked like it was either beat up in the warehouse or repackaged (no signs of use, though, including wear around the USB adapters). I put two on separate 10K mAH batteries and two on the included Y splitter on a 10K mAH battery, and the brightness is identical, implying that the 8W draw that another reviewer claimed was also wrong. Most likely, it draws somewhere in the 1W-2W range. But we shall see. I didn't have gadgets handy to measure the actual draw, but by analyzing the start and stop runtimes on fully charged batteries, we can infer the approximate draw on standard 5W 2.1A USB ports. I will update this post once I have final data. UPDATE 1: I ran a test from 7:50 AM until 11:37 AM using 2x bulbs on the provided Y splitter on a 10K mAH battery, achieving ~227 minutes (3 hours 47 minutes). So per bulb, the calculation puts us at ~3.91 W per bulb, not 1 W as described by the seller. UPDATE 2: The two singular setup tests ran 5 1/2+ hours on a 10K mAH batter, using identical setup. One ran longer, so I attribute this to battery health and other variables. In any case, getting over 5 hours on pre-existing 10K mAH means you can get a decent output for intermittent use over days, or a solid single night in the evenings with a full charge. Perhaps bump up to a 20K mAH battery pack instead to get around double that. I wasn't able to calculate an exact draw, as I had an appointment to attend to. But I'm happy with the results. FINAL UPDATE: The last light ran over 6 hours on a single 10K mAH battery pack. Good enough. Verdict: +5 for solid product design and quality based -1 star for that misleading statement. -1 star also for the repackaged items items (not new). +1 for extended life on the final light bulb test, but the other three weren't bad either

Amazing for when power goes out

Great camper upgrade.
These were a great upgrade for our camper kitchen. The cheest 12V automotive bulb made the stovetop very hard to see. I wired in a USBA charger to the light switch and now my stove top is much easier to see and cooking is much easier. I also put them on each side of the bed for a local light that you don't hace to get out of bed to turn on and off and it has made our outings more enjoyable.

These are really good and bright. Ive got two sheds with ecoflow solar generators in so plug them in those to light the sheds up. They are excellent at night.

8 Watts not 5
We were looking for low wattage bulbs to help reduce our energy consumption. These are very bright, light up well. However they are NOT 5 watts output but 8!! This basically negates the reason I bought them, which was to lower electric use. They won’t work off power bank, but work off mains using usb plug or on a power station. We used ours on a power station which showed 8 watts output.

Fantastic bright light you can run for hours off a power bank
Bought a couple of these for general use and tried them with a 10000mah standard power bank. They work really well and having 2 plugged in for several hours only used a quarter of a relatively small power bank. With the possibility of power cuts in the winter these are a must-have item - a couple of these lights and a power bank and you'll have all the light you need. Would be great for camping too or in a shed with no mains power. Ordered another pair they are that good.
