Pregerminate your seeds!
This is such a good price for seashore paspalum seed. The seed germinates without any issues. I've used 5 of the 2lb bags and every single one was great. The people leaving bad reviews just don't know what they're doing. Paspalum is a warm season grass that needs tons of water to start. Put your seed in a paint strainer and soak it for 24hrs. Then take it out and rinse it morning and night. If you want it to sprout quickly, place it on a warming pad between rinses. It'll sprout enough to lay down in a few days. Then you have to keep it wet in the ground. Which means watering every few hours. Here's a picture of 1 lb I forgot about and left in the paint strainer bag too long. 100% of the seeds sprouted .

Trash
Even if the seed cost a quarter what this company is charging for it by the pound, this would still be total trash! Truth is despite ideal planting and growing conditions, at best it yielded a five percent germination rate. Moreover, the seed that did germinate has experienced minimal post-germination growth rate. This is despite the top soil and mulch that was applied as a top coat still being moist and rich. My experience saw the seed planted in middle July, precisely at the 75 degree minimum soil temperature specified. The areas received daily watering from then until end of August -- over seven straight weeks of such intensive daily care. Paspalum is said to be a grass that is not conducive to seeding, but rather sod, and my experience has confirmed that to be true. Little wonder then there are so few companies that sell paspalum seed direct to consumers, and based on my experience, this company needs to become one fewer still.

Go Figure
2 Lb bag is a better deal at less than half the price of the 1 Lb bag.

They poppin'
I pre germinated the seed for about 6 days. Took about 3 to fully get the blue coating off. Spread the seed and within about two days, they are popping everywhere. This grass is pretty fine compared to another Bahia I tried. Looks golf course like, excited to see what it looks like when I start mowing. Came to leave 5 stars because the seeds look like they all popped. Rest is on me. I spread the seed evenly mixing with a starter fertilizer. Then used a cylinder spreader with peat moss to apply even coats.

still waiting
We planted the seeds a month ago.. the weather here in NE Florida is hot. The soil temperature is 80 degrees, we keep the seeded area irrigated. We still have no germination at all. very disappointing. We still have hope.. Now May 31. and still nothing.

You get nothing!!!!
Should have read the reviews before I purchased because this seed absolutely does NOT work. Not one blade of grass grew! Now I’m out the money because there’s nothing to return because the seed was planted. Don’t waste your money people!!!!

Seeds Did not germinate
I placed and mixed the seed in some new soil ( Black cow ) down on a few places where I wanted grass to grow. I mixed the seed in the soil so that it would be covered and not just sit on top of the soil to dry out. As per instructions on seed planting. Watered daily ( IFlorida) for several weeks and no germination. None. I thought maybe I had done something wrong so I contracted the company for advise and they stated it germinated 70% of the time and no guarantees. I did not find this product to give the results I was hoping to achieve.
