The cables fast charge, are braided, have hard protective plastic between the cable and metal connector housing, and feel well made. However, they're 99cm long (end of metal connector tip to the other). If you need a minimum of precisely 1M to bridge distance between device/plug, it falls short. I compared charging with these cables and my existing (fast/non-fast) cables using (fast/non-fast) plugs. To achieve fast charging, it's IMPORTANT to make sure of the following: 1. Your DEVICE has the ability to be fast charged. 2. Your charging CABLE has fast charging ability. 3. Your charging PLUG has fast charging ability. If just one of the above three is missing from your set-up, fast charging won't work. I've had these new cables for a week, but if any problems later on, I'll update my review.

Replaced my Pixel usb cable with this expecting rapid charging using the same brick charger, but it's just standard charging speed. It feels like good build quality, but definitely misleading saying that it's fast charging.
