Replacement Hickory Handles: Hoe, Axe, Pickaxe, T Handle, Spade & Fork

It's a decent handle. Maybe it is a softer wood, I don't know, but it will do my 2 pronged fork fine.

Arrived bang on time it’s smooth piece of wood and fits perfectly so far happy with it just used for some light jobs will report back for sturdiness and strength 10/05/2026 Been using it heavily and not disappointed Used hoe to cut and digging heavy routed area under a conifer and very happy with handle

Pleased with this hoe handle had to hammer on my hoe head at least it should never come off

They do the job

I bought this with the expectation of thinning it considerably for a hoe head with a smaller than usual eye. In the end i didn't use this piece of timber for that. The bulbous end has flats either side, possibly for an oval eye? It carries the Marksman branding

Great handle which I purchased for the the multi cleaning shovel. Had to taper one end to fit but works and feels great.

Made from Beech, according to sticker on handle, which could be correct as rather light. For a digging hoe I would have wanted a tougher Ash handle. Thick end is 50mm diameter tapering over 30cm distance down to 36mm which continues for remainder of handle (total length 119cm/47 inches). Came with a gash in side though not particularly material to me since I bought this handle knowing that I would be modifying it to fit a different tool.
