With its wireless connectivity and fully concealed platform, however, the iON Security Micra is a window security sensor that finally eliminates these pesky inconveniences. The iON Micra features a window sash sensor that triggers an alarm whenever the contact between it and its corresponding surface mount magnet is severed. The transmitter is powered by a long life lithium battery that is easily replaceable when a low battery condition is indicated by the control. Each iON Micra has its own unique identification code serial number permanently assigned during manufacturing. The control unit is required to enroll the transmitter s ID during installation of the alarm system. This transmitter is compatible with current DSC, GE, HAI and 2GIG Wireless receivers. Review: Replacement for window sensor ge concord - Have to replace the battery every 5 years or so and mine have lasted a decade but with time the sensor is fragile and the last battery replacement the antenna teared, the mica is a good replacement but you have to reprogram. Review: Easily concealed, excellent alarm sensor - We have about 20 of these Ion Micra sensors installed for wireless security at windows throughout our home. They have been installed for over 5 years without any failures. I purchased an additional one from desertcart for installation at a new location, and it is also functioning flawlessly. I would strongly recommend buying high quality batteries, NOT one of the many cheap batteries available in bulk on this site or elsewhere. They are problematic, often have voltages less than stated and don't last as long as those from Duracell or one of the other large battery brands in the US. Sometimes, voltage drops trigger the sensors, resulting in a false alarm. It's not worth the savings you might temporarily realize from cheap batteries.
