A perfect jiggler
I was worried when I bought this about how it would work and how it would jiggle but this was actually perfect. My work from home computer has a screen saver for 5 minutes which is laughable. This solves the problem. Very simply it shows up as mouse and it continuously moves the mouse in micro-movements. Just enough to keep the screen active but not so much it makes it hard to click on objects. I can leave it plugged in all day and most times I don't remember it's there until I remember I haven't seen my screen saver. I'm super happy with it. Physically it's unassuming it's tucks into any USB-A port you have open and functionally it's no muss no fuss.

The Digital Tap Dance
There's something quietly satisfying about this little USB device that performs such a simple task with such dedication. For the past year, it's been plugged into my work laptop, moving just enough to keep my Microsoft Teams status stubbornly green, a tiny digital metronome of simulated activity. What surprised me is how elegantly simple the solution is. There's no software to install, no configuration screens to navigate, just plug it into a USB port and it begins its unassuming work. I've tested it with both a Dell and a Lenovo laptop, and it performed identically on both, which speaks to its universal compatibility. The jiggle is subtle enough to be undetectable but effective enough to prevent the "away" status that seems to trigger certain anxieties in management. It's not life-changing, of course, but it does solve a particular modern workplace problem with elegant minimalism. After a year of constant use, there have been no issues, no dropped connections, no need to replug, just consistent, reliable performance. I suppose the only criticism might be the ethical grey area it occupies, creating the appearance of availability without actual availability. But then again, who among us hasn't engaged in a little digital theatre to navigate the peculiar expectations of remote work? At least this device doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is: a tiny, wiggling compromise between transparency and privacy.
