Can you use the lights separately?

No they have to be join by the same USB unfortunately. I wouldn't have brought them if I knew this. They still kool though

Dear Customer Thank you for your question Yes, you can change the color of the light in two ways: the base button of the ambient light can control 10 kinds of lights, and the app shows 15 modes (Read/Get up/Night/Starry/Party/Film & Breath mode/Flash mode/Jump mode/Gradient mode/Sympgony mode/Trail mode/Bar mode/Stacking mode/Adjoint mode), diy color and turn it off. What app should I download and connect it to this light bar?

Dear customer If you want to control this light bar through the app, need to download "Smart Life" app via the QR code on the user manual or search in app store, of course, there are more functions to choose from in the app. Step as follows: Open App store--search"Smart Life"--download it--open bluetooth then open app--add device--Lighting "Strip lights(BLE)"--Comfirm the light has flashed or breathed--next--allow only while in use Please note: Android phone must choose to allow positioning permissions, otherwise the connection will not succeed.
