Can you give some examples of projects in the guide?

Basically it has a lesson for each hardware included in the kit. The guide starts with introduction of RPi GPIO and show you where to download all necessary software / libraries so that you can control GPIO pins using both C language and Python. The lesson starts with simple how to blink LED, and progressively getting more advance. Some interesting lessons are how to program 7-segment display and LCD1602, how to control DC Motor, Servo and stepper motor, how to use LED to show bar graph, how to measure distance of obstacle using ultrasonic sensor, how to use acceleration sensor and PS2 joystick, to name a few. It has in total 26 lessons for you to learn. All source code provided to you so all you need is to copy to your target folder and compile / run it, after you had wired up the hardware. For how to connect the hardware pieces, you can refer to a diagram (like those done using Fritzing) and actual photo shot of assembled / connected hardware. These will help you a lot as you can open them up side by side and get clearer picture.
