We have a long dark hallway in our house, with three-way switches at each end that control a single light in the middle. These provide the perfect amount of light at to not run into a wall in the middle of the night without turning on the light and waking up the family. They are not even slightly bright, so if you want a bright light you'll be disappointed - but if you're like us, and just want to safely get to the bathroom in the middle of the night without turning on a light and scorching your retinas, then they're perfect. I struggled a little with the screw/wire color coding (I think it was opposite of normal), but the instructions were correct, it was mostly operator error because I'm not a professional electrician.

I love these!! So very easy to install, but would not recommend using the push in wire function as our wires kept coming out. Once we tied the wires to the screws they worked great. These give off a nice light and I am impressed by them. They aren't super bright which I like just enough to find the switch in the dark instead of feeling around aimlessly. I do not notice any noise coming from them at all and are at a great price point. I don't think these are much more than the standard switches. I would highly recommend. These have been installed for 6 months and are still working perfectly.

Love how both sides have lights . Was a great price for two . Very easy instructions to install . Love the rocker more then the switches and easy to clean

These switches are attractive, the action is solid, and performance is good, except for two light issues: (1) The nightlights are pretty bright - which would be tolerable except that: (2) They never go off, because the photosensor does not have enough gain to recognize when the room is no longer dark - even when the room light it on! Getting the nightlights to go off requires either (a) mounting the switch where it catches outdoor sunlight or (b) shining a flashlight on the switch. So they are good switches designed on a great idea that was just not well-executed. I have not had a chance to take one apart to see if that could be improved (but I suspect that at best it would require replacement of a surface-mounted resistor). If I get a chance to do so, I will update this review.

Love these. I put them at the top and bottom of the stairs, hallways. They give just enough light at night to see what you are doing yet not too bright. they only go on when its dark and are an exceptional value.

These are great. I just installed them in my hallway and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how it looks.

Perfect upgrade to a nightlight in a dark halway

Installed easy - same as 3-way switch I replaced. Like many other reviews I have an interior stairway (16 steps) with no windows or outlets. I installed at the top of the stairs. It installed easily, less than 10 minutes. It can light at either the top or bottom and since it’s a 3 way switch it may switch and that’s fine. I prefer this actually. I was expecting, from the product pictures, to be able to at least see the outline of the stairs near it. But no. It really only is useful to show where on the wall the switch is located. Some value there, but a disappointment from the expectation the product pictures set up. I’d take a picture but honestly phone cameras are it going to provide an accurate visual.

it was easy to replace my existing three-way switch at the top and bottom of the stairs with this pair of switches with LED built-in. The wiring was exactly the same. There is a light on the top and bottom edge of each switch, with a light sensor on the switch itself. Note that the LED function is completely independent from whether the light is on or off, and is just based on the ambient light level, like a plug-in night light without using a plug. The light is soft and unobtrusive, but sufficient to see the stair steps.

Have 3 wall switches on one wall plate, friends who come to visit at night get confused which is witch, the 3 way light switch I have for my Roof top led flood lights now stand out when I am looking for that one in low light, works perfectly 👌👍👍

These work great. I used them for a double switch layout for my hall lights. They have lights on the top and bottom of switches, to answer a question i received. only one works at a time depending on which is toggled out ward. If you want them both in my case to be both light on facing down i would have to turn one of them upside down to the norm. No more stumbling around in the dark or bumping into door frames. A great electricity saving device altho more expensive but most beneficial. I only gave 4 star due to the price point otherwise their a 5 look nice with brushed stainless steel covers

Before I found this product, I had to fumble and search for the wall switch in the dark, which is very near the edge of a staircase. The switch was easy to install and a direct replacement for all 3 way switches. The LED light is just bright enough to indicate the switch location and to provide some ambient illumination. Safety is definitely improved.

A great product! Lights up whichever way the switch is pointing. We've used them in our basement stairway and they're bright enough to light the way even without switching the actual light on. I'm looking at another set for the basement hallway -- more efficient than plug-in night lights.
