Nu-Calgon 417175 Evap Foam

I have been using Nu-Calgon products for a long time and like the quality they provide. The foaming action works very well for me and the smell is very clean and fresh. Using this cleaner is something everyone should use to keep their A/C evaporator clean and working efficiently. It is an alkaline cleaner that is safe on metal and contain corrosion inhibitor’s. It is also NSF registered so it can be used around food processing equipment.

This was recommended to me by my furnace repairman. Very easy to use. You can watch it push debris out of the coils. The AC is noticeably colder. Definitely would recommend.

After running my mini split a lot on the dehumidifier mode in the summer, when I switched it on heat mode I noticed a moldy smell coming out. Really unpleasant. Did a bit of research and a lot of people recommended this product for cleaning the coils. Got it and got to work. One can lasted me for the whole 36000btu unit. It foams nicely, doesn’t have a chemical strong odor and it doesn’t leak all over when you spray for longer times. It solved the problem. Smell went away. Simple diy job to maintain your unit. Good value

Works great. Sprayed on the evaporator and the dust and grime just dissolved away. It foams a lot. We did end up rinsing it a little after it had set for 10-15 minutes. One can cleaned both sides of the evaporator.

Very happy to have purchased this product. Only used half a can, give it 24 hours of operational cycling, will apply it again. Major improvement in first application, learning curve for gaing access, getting placement in ways to promote foaming. It clearly is benign, gentle on the exposed surfaces, and appeared to clean anything it touches, rinses really clean. I will keep this on hand. Will become a staple for periodic cleaning an area, which frankly I did not know was possible... as this "should be" portion to annual operation and maintenance.

This stuff works really well. I used on my inside furnace air coils & it worked great. Follow instructions on the can & do not over use it, a little goes a long way. The foam itself, It does have a tendency to get warm from the chemical reactions after spraying the surface you're cleaning so be careful not to get it on your skin, wear thick oversized rubber gloves (get the gloves big so you don't have any trouble getting them off or on) & rinse as best as you can without making a mess, this is not the type of cleaner to be messy with. It is a safe cleaner, just be aware & always be safe & remember you can never be too safe. I'm very satisfied with this product as it works better than the others I've tried in the past.
