Updated Review:Taking off a star. Has been installed just shy of a year. The chrome finish has started to discolor slightly. It is not coming off per se, more of a dulling of the finish. Still looks presentable, but not sure that will be the case by its second birthday.Original Review:I was looking to replace a Kohler GP85061 which has a screw to hold it in place with a horizontal bar. As best as I can tell, that model is no longer made and the replacement is this snap in model. Was concerned about getting the old one out...screw, corrosive liquids, age, etc., but it came loose with very modest effort. This new version is a push/snap fit. Not exactly thrilled about it, but the 3 tabs are quite stiff so there is good holding power in the vertical. FYI - there a quarter inch or so of side to side movement even when completely seated, but drain opening does remains covered by strainer even if it is pushed to one side.) The upside is you will never have to worry about a corroded screw and not being able to get the strainer out.
