BORA 3.25HP Soft Start Router Motor with Variable Speed PM-6200

I will update as I use it more. I wish it had more reviews. I suspect this will be ordered more as the 3.25 porter cable is no longer in production and the only other options are the spinrite from woodpeckers and Milwaukee that is 400…. I ran sone MDF through and it def doesnt vibrate as much as my trition did. Fits perfectly into my kreg lift…. UPDATE: 3/15/22: ran some hard maple through it to make some stile/rails for a large cabinet door (4ft by 2ft) and it performed great. Clean cuts, the power makes a huge difference. It does not bog down, just cuts right through.

fits perfect in the Jessem router lift, very smooth soft start motor and has no issue under a load. would be nice if it had speed setting but the variable speed dial works well but you have to guess at the speed, then again the wood has a lot to do with the bit speed and it will tell you.

I bought this router to replace the Porter Cable unit that had been used for 5 years and likely had well over 1,000 hours operating time. This Bora router (same horsepower, same mounting diameter) lasted only less than 20 hours then it started making noise as if a bearing had gone bad. This is at all speeds (from minimum to maximum) and not cutting anything.

This unit is not compatible with the Woodpeckers PRL-V2 lift. Specifically, it cannot be seated within the lift because, no matter how the unit is positioned and rotated, some part of the oversized square shaped orange plastic top portion interferes with a post or the elevation screw on the lift mechanism. ....I'm giving it 4 stars here because Amazon requires a rating and I don't want to seriously downrate a product that I couldn't use. But it would be nice if Bora published a list of this unit's compatibility or not with specific lifts produced by the various major lift manufacturers.

I needed a dedicated router for a router table, so I didn't want to spend extra on something that came with a base, that would end up just taking up space in a cabinet. This is a great router, doesn't seem to be any run out. I have it in a Kreg lift table. I went with this over the Milwaukee because 1, it costs less because it doesn't have a base and 2, there are so many reports of switch issues on the Milwaukee that I didn't want to risk it. This router has plenty of power and has been great to use.

I have this motor mounted in a table, I don't use it all that much. Main bearing dead in two years, couldn't warranty it but replacing the bearing wasn't too hard. Brushes dead in 3 years. It came with an extra brush set, but I can't find any to buy online.

I have my router installed in a SawStop routing table attachment and couldn't be happier with the power it provides. Easy to install, variable speed and doesn't drag down at all with what I've tested it with so far.

I needed this motor for my router table. It fits my lift directly, without the need for an adaptor/shim device. This router motor has the power necessary for a long life and clean job when used for constructing my storm windows and doors.
