My husband died 2 years ago. I have a Craftsman battery powered weed whacker. It just ran out of string. Not knowing what to buy I went to a major hardware store with the weed whacker in hand. The employee in the lawn equipment department took this apart and gave me the wrong string. It didn’t fit. After about a hour of trying to get it to fit I finally gave up. Called the company and they gave me the part number that I needed. This isn’t what I was given at the store. Bought this here, a lot cheaper and it fits. Works great. Put the whacked together in about 2 minutes.

When I ordered these I did realize they were not Craftsman, but an off-brand. In hindsight the cost is significantly lower, but there is somewhat of a quality tradeoff. For example, they fit easily and well in my Craftsman weed eater (CMCST930P1). However, the twine feels more rigid and plasticy then I recall the Craftsman type being (CMZST080). In terms of performance this doesn't seem to matter as far as I could tell, it just makes it a bit more tricky to manipulate in terms of feeding it through the hole on the weed eater feed. More importantly the twine isn't always rolled properly. I've only used it once so far and had to remove the spool and untangle it as the end was buried at lower levels within the roll; this occurred twice during a single use. Overall this is a good product that functions well at a significant price reduction. However this reduced price does come with a slight quality tradeoff, which may or may not be acceptable to some.

Work extremely well and the line seems stronger than what came with the weed whacker. Even my neighbors noticed, the one came out and yelled “that thing really whacks them weeds! Then I looked at him and said so does your wife. Then we laughed and he ordered some to for his machine. I then used the old line spindle to prop up my table as you see in the photo. Neighbors tree took out my patio from a storm, not from his weed whacker.

String trimmer spools work just fine, good price.

Very Good Replacement String Trimmer Spools Line. Excellent When Needed. I keep a few extras always around. Good Product. Good Thickness on Line. Very Durable and simple installation.

They fit but they are wound very poorly. Have to keep feeding them and helping them unwind. When you look at them you can tell the winding overlaps and will cause hang ups
