Amazon says "product dimensions: 15 x 10 x 3 inches"... is that correct? most drumsticks have 16"

I just measured the inside height (the zipper) and it is over 17 inches. You can fit drumsticks and mallets of evey kind (marimba, xylophone, timpany) together with no problem.

Does the bag come with sticks

No the bag doesn't include sticks. But I got the bag for my husband as a gift since he is a drummer and he LOVES it! It's pretty durable and has lots of pockets.

Would 4 egg shakers fit in this bag with 2 sets of sticks?

Easily. It’ll hold 4 shakers, a cowbell, 8 pairs drum sticks, 2 mallets, 2 sets of rutes, car keys and a phone with room to spare. The best part? It slings over your shoulder and attaches to the floor tom where everything is instantly visible. Hope that answers the question

Does this bag have a metal zipper?

The zipper is made of a tough, black material and it's actually not easy to tell, but it does not seem to be made of metal. Great bag of very sturdy construction though.
