Oh my god, how is the series getting better an better?! Oh god the ending! Not a single dull moment. Also Lance Why?? Seriously why would you do that? Darcy was so strong in this book. Loved Tory and Darius🧡

So many unexpected and unthinkable things happens in this book. The series is getting better with each book. It begins with Vega twin and Darius and Seth are trying to save Orion. I loved how their powers brought them together. How she unveils her feelings for Orion. But the destiny is cruel. The shadow king and the thing Darius’s father do. The thing that happens with Orion is awful

I can't..i literally can't. I have no words left. I feel like crying my heart out....what is this...how will they get past this??!! Omg....

I feel horrible because I love buying books and reading them as they are, e-books do not interest me as much. I was fine with just a few pages missing but there are full chapters missing, it’s horrible. But the book is of course good!

This book was a mixed experience for me. On one hand, Cursed Fates felt unnecessarily long. The beginning dragged quite a bit, and I found myself losing interest due to the slow pacing and lengthy chapters. On the other hand, the final stretch of the book was much better. The last 10 chapters were shorter, more engaging, and finally brought in the excitement I was waiting for. The ending, in particular, was intriguing and clearly sets up the next book. If you’re invested in the series, it’s worth pushing through—but be prepared for a slow start. Hoping Book 6 delivers a stronger and more balanced experience.

Ahh, that ending!!! Without giving away any spoilers, so much angst in this book. But, it was good, especially the ending was so thrilling. Also, there were so many cute moments between the group in this book. Loved it. Diving into the next one straight away.

Trigger Warning : self harm, violence, death, suicidal thoughts, murder, confinement, kidnapping, emotional abuse, bullying, classism, toxic relationships, infidelity, abandonment I’m living for the budding friendship between Orion and Tory. The fact that she gave him a friendship bracelet actually had me squealing with delight. I was hoping we would see more of a relationship develop between the two of them now that Tory knows about Darcy and Orion, and this book definitely didn’t disappoint. On the flip side the growing friendship between Darius and Darcy is just as adorable. Even though, Tory and Darius aren’t together Darcy is still forced to be around Darius because of his friendship with Orion. Darcy and Darius’s friendship feels very familial in the best way possible. He treats her the same way an older brother treats his little sister. Darius, finally, getting the opportunity to tell Seth to stop torturing Orion and Darcy was past overdue. Tory and Darius being star crossed is kind of heartbreaking. I wish there was a way for Tory to take her decision back. The way both of them are suffering makes for a rough read. Tory was already spiraling and this definitely pushed her even closer to the edge. Although, this whole situation has made me like Tory more than I did before, it really humanizes her. Tory using her phoenix fire to free not only Catalina, but also Darius and Xavier from Lionel’s dark coercion is probably one of my favorite parts of this book. Catalina, finally, gets to love her children. The fact that Lionel took that from her is heartbreaking. I hope Catalina’s relationship with both of her sons continues to grow in future books. This entire interaction also allows Xavier to reveal his order form to the world, meaning he’ll actually be able to attend Zodiac Academy with everyone else. The relationship between Lionel and Clara is nasty. Even though I don’t think Clara is actually Clara, Lionel thinks Clara is Clara. The fact that he’s cool with crossing that line with someone that’s young enough to be his daughter, and called him Uncle Lionel is gross. I knew everything was going too well, and honestly I kind of assumed Darcy and Orion were going to be caught. I just didn’t think he was going to be arrested. I was more guessing that Lionel was going to find out about them and they would be forced apart because of him. I really want Caleb and Seth to get together. They would make such a cute little couple. I can’t wait to see more of the familial relationship develop between Darcy, Tory, and Gabriel. I thought there was more to their relationship than meets the eye, and I was right ! It’s one of the few bright spots towards the end of the book. Why do I like Seth now ? After, Orion is thrown in prison the way Seth steps up to be a good friend to Darcy is just adorable. I really want their friendship to continue developing. Hopefully, Seth won’t give up on her no matter how much Darcy tries to push him away. Ew, just ew. They need to find a way to break the guardian bond asap. I can’t take Tory being forced to guard Lionel. It makes me want to vom. Another happy ending, am I right ? If these books weren’t so addictive I don’t think I could keep reading them. No matter what good stuff happens there’s always enough bad stuff to completely negate any progress that gets made. I finished this book 3 months ago and here I am again rereading my favourite parts 😭 Never thought I could say these words: I FREAKIN LOVE SETH OH MY GOD Read it on KU and I know I’m gonna buy it to exhibit it in my room 😭😭😭❤️‍🔥

"Forever is a hell of a long time to give to someone you don't trust. In my heart I know i deserved the answer you gave me. I wasn't worthy of your love then and I'm still not worthy of it now. But if you gave me forever then I'd spend every second of it trying to be". Ed eccoci al 5 volume. Un libro difficile, pieno di sofferenza e che ti porta ad avere la lacrima facile. Mi aspettavo che sarebbe stato un libro tosto, data la fine del 4 e la scelta di Tory non poteva essere altrimenti, ma non così tanto. Il cliffhanger finale non me l'aspettavo per niente, tanto che non ho potuto aspettare e ho dovuto iniziare subito il 6. Una cosa però è certa. La capacità di queste autrici di far crescere i personaggi è incredibile. E vorrei partire proprio dal villain. Lionel Acrux ad oggi credo che sia il personaggio cattivo meglio scritto di cui abbia mai letto. La sua cattiveria aumenta libro dopo libro, i suoi intrighi, che alcune volte possono suonare strani, acquistano un senso perfetto mentre si prosegue con la lettura. Non vacilla mai, è sempre un passo avanti a tutti, non presenta cedimenti emotivi o sensi di colpa, lui vuole una cosa, sa come ottenerla e va dritto per la sua strada . Maltrattamenti fisici e psicologici, manipolazione mentale, magia nera, tutto ciò che di cattivo si possa immaginare lui lo fa. Sei portato ad odiare questo personaggio dal primo momento in cui lo conosci e l'odio nei suoi confronti aumenta pagina dopo pagina. È veramente un cattivo degno di essere definito tale e spero faccia una fine lenta e dolorosa. Darius è il personaggio che più ho amato in questo libro. La sua sofferenza si percepisce in ogni riga. Mi ha aperto il cuore in due. La sua rassegnazione in alcuni momenti ti spezza. "But what other choice did i have? I'd offered her the world but I'd waited too long to do it. So now i jus had to face the consequences of that and live with the fact that this was all my fault. And there wasn't a thing i could do to change it." Ma poi non si da per vinto e cerca di gioire anche delle più piccole conquiste, come una semplice corsa o una tazza di caffè. Darius, che si rende conto di tutti i suoi errori capitolo dopo capitolo e ti spezza. "But as i looked around this cold, dirty room with no food in the cupboards and a couch for a bed, i realised exactly what I'd done that night. "We're not telling anyone else about this". Questa scena mi ha veramente uccisa. E parlo di una scena in cui gli heirs vanno nel vecchio appartamento delle Vega. Io defunta proprio. Ottimo lavoro da parte delle autrici anche con gli altri 3. Tutti cercheranno di aiutare Darius ma personalmente non ho amato la scena con Caleb. L'ho trovata sbagliata, non mi è piaciuta proprio. Doveva essere una cosa per loro non con loro. Seth è quello dei 3 che ha avuto il cambiamento più radicale. Continuo a non perdonarlo ma devo riconoscere che prova a farsi voler bene da questo libro in poi. Geraldine regina indiscussa della risata. Si conferma un personaggio forte e positivo. Leale fino alla fine. Grazie Gerry, abbiamo bisogno di personaggi come te. Lance forse è il personaggio che mi ha delusa di più in questo libro. Capisco il perché di una scelta ma ciò non toglie che l'abbia odiata "I don't care that you're here. You could be on the moon and I'd still find a way to love you ". Tory, Tory, Tory....testarda, difficile, impulsiva che poi ovviamente si pente delle scelte avventate. Mi dispiace ma io continuo a preferire Darcy. Come dicevo prima cliffhanger inaspettato che ti invoglia subito a proseguire. "I finally invited the darkness in". Io amo questa serie e trovo che questo 5 volume al momento sia il migliore. L'ho veramente adorato. La scrittura delle autrici è sempre sublime. Se pensiamo al fatto che sia passato solo un anno come arco narrativo e che il lettore non si annoi per 5 libri, è facile intuire la capacità incredibile di queste due autrici.
