For the price it's a good deal, the quality of the metal isn't the same as even astro or especially the tool truck stuff (this is a bit on the softer side) but it is more than adequate. What can you really expect for the price? This is well under 100 dollars and the matco equivalent is around 800-1200 depending on the kit. I have abused this kit right off the bat using heavy duty impact guns, doing 8 Honda and toyota wheel bearings and 2 Honda trailing arm bushings all in the span of a week. It also provides enough sizes that I would say unless you're working on semi stuff and maybe some larger diesel applications you should be covered with something to fit. My only suggestions would be to get some extra washers from Ace hardware, perhaps a bit harder steel then the ones that come with it. I am using the washers the kit comes with but they're severely deformed at this point, they end up being sacrificial since this kit doesn't use any sort of bearing to apply pressure to when turning. Another important thing to remember is to keep the thread lubed. With all these things in mind this kit should serve the home diy or even mobile/ part time mechanic well.

This is a well-made, versatile set of wheel bearing bushings, adapters, and pressing tool that I got for about $30 less than a similar set I was considering from a discount tool retailer whose initials are "HF." I immediately put this set to work to press in a new front wheel bearing on a 2008 Honda Ridgeline. I first had to press the bearing into the steering knuckle, followed by pressing the wheel hub into the bearing. This set worked great and made the job easy! All of the components in the set appeared to be well finished and shipped with a protective layer of oil to avoid rust. The blow molded case is convenient and sturdy, and the tool components fit well in their designated slots. I also wanted to make a couple of points about issues other reviewers raised with this set: 1) Using the tool to press in a bearing ruined the threads on the screw -- The key to avoiding this problem is to lube the heck out of the screw each time you use it. I took no chances and used a generous amount of general purpose grease to lubricate the screw, and it showed no damage after the two pressing operations I described above. 2) The adapters and bushings have numbers instead of diameters stamped on them, making it more awkward to figure out what sizes you need for your particular vehicle -- This set comes with a small booklet provides instructions and diagrams for using it on common brands of vehicles. The diagrams include call-outs showing the bushing and adapter numbers you should use, which you can cross-reference with a diagram and parts list for the set on the last page of the booklet. This makes it easy to quickly pick out the right mix of bushings and adapters for your vehicle, and I don't feel it takes any longer than measuring and matching up diameters on your bearing and tool.

The entire set itself is great. Just finished working on a 2006 Acura TSX front wheel bearing replacement for both sides. The sizes of the plates worked well for the most part, though I did have to use some old bearing races to completely press in the wheel bearings into the spindle, and to press the hubs into the bearings. I used my 1/2" ratchet and a breaker bar with matching sockets. Applied anti-seize on the bolt, and a little under the bolt head. First side completed without a hitch. Here's where it took me longer for the second side. The first bolt stripped just barely into pulling the wheel bearing out. It stripped in such a minimal way, but it also took out the threads in the nut. Tried the second bolt, and it got a little further before letting go of the worn nut threads. So, off to the local Ace Hardware store I went. Unfortunately, they didn't have bolts long enough, nor completely threaded through. Home depot was my next stop, and I was able to find nuts and bolts in the same size and thread. Down side, I had to buy a box of their matching large flat washers to basically match the length of the original nut that came with the kit. Oh well, $20 and some gas. Got back, anti-seize on the new bolt, and knocked out the job in no time. Highly recommend you buy a replacement bolt at the least, and probably to use that instead of the included one. Definitely use anti-seize on the threads, and use hand tools only. All in all, happy with the purchase. Easier on space compared to a press, and $20 cheaper than a harbor freight kit even after buying the replacements. Oh, as far as replacements from the manufacturer, I have no clue if I should reach out. Amazon says support is on the manufacturer website, and the manufacturer website says the support is only for those who bought directly from the website. Oh well.

Works great good quality

Good quality, good value compared to other stores. The only bad thing is that it chewed through the washers but it was because of my fault. Take your time and learn how to use it and don’t forget to lubricate the bolt/nut and washers and try to use a ratchet first instead of an impact gun.

Worked really well and is a solid tool. Might not be great for bigger stuff as I had to use the biggest adapter it came with on a Honda crv. Made the job much easier than it otherwise would've been.

Overall the concept of this tool is awesome and it’s actually decently made . There is one major downfall preventing it from receiving 5 stars . The washers that are designed to save the tool( which I think are a great idea ) shred metal flakes everywhere when you’re pressing the bearing in. The tool is very effective at pressing bearing in and out it did a great job but cleaning up all the metal flakes from the washers and making sure they were all over the new bearing was a mess .. this kit should include way thicker and higher quality washer and it would be a 5 star best tool on the market no doubt . Orion I love your tools if you’re reading this PLEASE MAKE THE WASHERS FOR THIS KIT THICKER AND MORE ROBUST AND THIS WILL BE THE BEST KIT AVAILABLE !!!!!!

Bought this after reading through the reviews of a few puller kits, and as this one seemed to have the best ratio of positive to negative experiences, I decided to give it a go. Needed to press out a 97mm rear bearing on a Mercedes Vito van, so the kit had its work cut out for it! On first look, the quality of the pieces was surprisingly decent for the price…well finished, and nicely packaged. In use, the component pieces worked very well and were sufficiently robust to do the job…couple of turns with a long breaker bar got the bearing moving, and then wound it out the rest of the way with a long handled ratchet. Everything worked exactly as it should, with no issues apart from the washers being a little soft as others have mentioned…although despite being a bit marred from the nut, they would go again fine! As far as the main bolt thread quality is concerned, there isn’t a mark on it and all the threads are still perfect so I would be willing to bet the bad reviews of this component are down to the user ignoring the clear instructions to not use an impact gun…user error basically! Using hand tools as directed, it’s more than up to the task! For a home DIY spanner monkey, I’d happily recommend this set to anyone considering it…it’s a fraction of the price of a ‘professional’ version, but performs its task very well. 5 stars

Perfect for DIY wheel bearings comes with plenty of different sleeves and bushes. Used a big bar and my DeWalt dcf900 and it worked perfectly. Comes with 2 washers as this seems to be the sacrificial part in the kit (takes a beating) Took me about 10 mins to put 2 wheel bearings in that's including swapping the hubs and getting the actual bearings out the boxes. Will definitely be recommending this kit and the rest of their stuff as everything I buy from these guys just works as you want it to
