What about kid's dress up clothes? How well do you think it would hold those? They are very light weight and I only want to display a few.

It cannot hold much clothes nor any heavy clothes. But I think a few kid's clothes will be fine

Can this item be used with Carson Delosa pocket chart rings and used for the classroom?

Hi, Barbara. Yes, this rack can display your daily standard pocket chart with ease. You can use string or zip ties to hang the chart on the rod.

What is the maximum weight it can handle?

Hello! Thank you for your interest in Whitmor 6021-3539-BB Adjustable Garment Rack. We don't usually place a weight capacity on this item as it becomes too subjective. This rack is only height adjustable and can hold light weighted items.

What is the length/width of the bottom bars near the wheels that hold the poles. I want to put the rack into a small closet?

the widest part of this rack is the bottom where the wheels are. it measures 31 inches in length and 18 inches in width. i did not measure how tall the rack is because that part is adjustable and you can make it tall or short. so it is 31 inches by 18 inches is all the space you need for it because you can adjust the height of the rack. yes this will fit in your closet. you could probably fit 2 racks in that closet.
