worth the 5 bucks
have 2 v yokes they are really neat little piece of equipment. use one with my leki monopod hiking pole, stays on all the time. doesn't impede your hiking situation. I'm able to pull up and shoot a moments notice.I wear a camera chest harness so now don't have to worry in most shooting situations about attaching it to tripod, etc. have canon 80d and used lenses from 24mm up to and including 70-200mm lens with the v. no problems. adjust pole length to location and shoot, don't know that a bulkier lens like 70-300 would work. would depend on how your able to balance it. not impossible?. 2 found that attaching it to a mini tripod [10inch] with flex legs make nice platform to shoot from car door or window, just adjust to width mold on to door with flex legs. 3. use a small hand held camera stick from hiking to car shooting etc. just be creative thinker when it comes to using it. for 5 bucks whats to lose? nicely built for price. remember its only as good as you are.

It works !
Bought this to mount to my camera tripod so I could hunt with it. Despite the pictures, it's kind of small. It does fit my AR10 .308 so I'm happy with it. It is strong, looks tough and it has rubberized coating so it doesn't scratch my gun. Nice, inexpensive product and does the trick.

Good so far
I got this to turn an old tripod into a shooting stick, and so far I am pleased with it. The build quality is good - solid plastic construction with a brass insert for the threads. It mounted easily to my old tripod and was quite solid. I haven't been able to take it to the range yet, but I would bet that my old tripod will fail before this does. I look forward to seeing how well it works. I would recommend giving this a try if you have an old tripod around and want to experiment with a shooting tripod. In may case, I am finding out for just five dollars (and a free old tripod) whether or not the shooting tripod idea will work for me. Saved a hundred dollars over a name brand tripod. I will update after I've shot with it.

Works perfect. Highly recommend.
I use a collapsing walking stick while hiking through the woods and have this mounted on the tip where there happens to be a threaded mount for a camera. I've used shooting sticks before but this item was fabulous. Works great and can even hang my hat on it in the woods. Never had a scratch or mark on my Winchester. It helped me get my five point last season!! Lol, don't leave home without it!

Perfect
I have a Leki trek pole used for hiking. I bought this to adapt the pole for shooting. It is solid and fits the Leki threads for the pole end perfectly.

Indispensable for photography when hiking.
I find this attachment to a monopod or shooting stick an indispensable accessory for photography. I can use the stick as a walking stick while hiking and whenever I need to, I can use it to steady my camera. Several years ago, I got a collapsible monopod with 3 different heads and found this one the most useful. I bought this item when I fell and broke the "V" head. When I see something to photograph, I can very quickly steady my camera with it and get my shot, especially with the extreme telephoto lenses out today. Tripods are a bit steadier but are heavy and clumsy. This does the job very well.

Disposable Five Buck Rifle Yoke
ORIGINAL: The finish quality of this brass mount rubberized plastic yoke would rate B, but it delivers as promised. I used on a Davis & Sanford heavy duty video tripod with an AR and 62gr M855', and got steady true aim. For the price, it seemingly earned its stars. UPDATE: 300 rounds later, the yoke was beaten to pulp ... literally. As in, the yoke disintegrated. Plastic and recoil apparently don't mix.

Very Cost effective product !
VERY Good product ! Wish I knew of this product years ago ! I wasted money on shooting sticks that are not stable or are cumbersome looking for one that will work in the field and is cost effective. Since I often use my camera tripod to video wildlife while hunting , this was a " No Brainer" ! My Camera Tripod is a VERY stable shooting platform and can make the switch from camera to shooting yoke in seconds ! I actually bought my Camera Tripod @ a 2nd hand store for 20 bucks. ( was a nice expensive tripod too) Since field testing this product I will be telling friends and buying a few more ( along with searching the local Goodwills and thrift stores for more camera tripods)

I have a real good tripod at home but do not use
I have a real good tripod at home but do not use. Needed a device to hold my rifle steady and this piece of equipment works perfectly. I am very impressed with this and would recommend. Very sturdy - solidly built.
