The Girls' Book: How to Be the Best at Everything [Foster, Juliana, Enright, Amanda] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. The Girls' Book: How to Be the Best at Everything Review: A big hit with my grand-daughters, ages 10 and 7. - I found this book at my local library and sent a copy, along with a bunch of other books, to my grand-daughters in Manila. Their mother said they love this book, "They think it's so funny!" "Funny" wasn't a word I had thought of but I can see what they mean. Review: Hilarious book - LOVE IT!! - I bought this book for my 11-year-old niece. LOVE IT! If I didn't love her so much, I would keep it for myself! It was hilarious to read - from the HOW TO EXPLAIN WHY YOU WERE LATE FOR SCHOOL to the HOW TO ACT LIKE A CELEBRITY to the HOW TO ANNOY PEOPLE IN THE ELEVATOR sections. I even had my husband smirking and laughing as I read him the sections out loud. I then even called my mother to read to her, and I laughed all over again with her. I can't wait to see my niece read it and learn these very important skills! :) If you're looking for a serious book to get your child - this isn't it. But if you're looking for something that will spark their imagination, hold their interest, and make them laugh then this book is it.

Good book probably geared to 4-6th grade girls from what I can tell
Got this for my daughter, when she entered 3rd grade. She likes the book, but some of the things inside are a bit above her grade level. I think I'll get her more in the series when she is in 5th grade, which seems to be more the age that the book is geared to. Anyway, she likes the book, and it touches on some serious subjects like 'how to be the 'best' friend' (always be kind and honest) along with some things that are just fun (along the lines of how to make the 'best' paper airplane). I think as she gets older, she'll understand some of the concepts better.

LOVE IT!
If you are familiar with this collection of books, this is a must have. For those of you not familiar with this branding, this is a cool, fun, and funny book about....everything! Some serious things, some satire, some good tips. My tween loves to read the tips and ways to tackle some basic problems that we forget to teach our kids and introduce them to things they never heard of. So if you can accept her reading about "How to make a friendship bracelet" in the book that also has a page on and "How to annoy family and friends" ...then you and your girl will love it. "how to make sand castles and lip gloss" are other topics covered. Also builds mother & daughter communication. Conservative moms, I suggest reading the one at the library first. There is satire in here you may object to.

Niece was thrilled to have this book!
3rd grade niece had seen it in the school library last year and asked me if we could look for it because she didn't get a chance to read it. We found and she immediately started reading it when she took it out of the box! Lots of good things in the book for her to do with her friends and family.

Great book packed with fun things to do
I bought this for my 10-year-old niece, who loved it. She is an adventurous kid who likes to work with her hands, and there are lots of projects that appeal to her. Some of the stuff is tongue-in-cheek ("How to Annoy People in Elevators"), but I liked the humor and appreciated that the author didn't talk down to young readers and seems to understand kids that age. I even stole some of the ideas for myself.

Useful and fun
My 11 year old daughter wanted this book because she'd already read The Girl's Book of Excellence. This book, The Girls' Book: How to be the best at everything included parts of The Girl's Book of Excellence and more. My daughter says the book is funny (How to survive a zombies apocalypse), and useful. For example, she created a checklist to pack for her last vacation, which made my life easier. It provides advice, entertainment, and games. I've watched her pour over the book, and take it on trips.

Laugh Out Loud
This book is hilarious! I bought it for my new teen that thinks she's too cool for anything nowadays. This was a REAL ice breaker. I skimmed/read the book before I wrapped it for Christmas and it's cute...especially for the girls that think there's nothing in the world that can make them step out of their "cool zone"!

男の子バージョンの『The Boys’Book: How to Be the Best at Everything』と較べると、女の子の方が求めるもの(求められるものなのでしょうか?)が多くて大変だな、と感じます。

I'm 10 years old and I got a kindle fire for Christmas. This was the first book I got and It is the best book I have. I had wanted it for ages and It was like ten euro. I was so surprised how cheap this was I loved every second of it. I just started gymnastics and the tips in the book were great for the gymnastics! I can now do the perfect handstand! This book is sweet and I would recommend it to every girl everywhere! DEFINITELY one of my favourite books!

I bought this for my ten year old daughter and she was reading it solidly for the next 2 days (and she's not that fond of reading). It covers exactly the topics this age group want to know in a language they can relate to. "How to persuade your parents to get you a pet", "how to do a perfect cartwheel", "how to deal with bullying" etc Serious and fun topics all covered. The topics are each about a page long and simply laid out so you can jump around the book. Encourages reading too. Have bought another copy for a friend since. Well recommended.
