Most Comfortable Knife
I have purchased about 10 of these utility knives. I have several in my work trailer and a few at home. They are the most comfortable knife I have ever used. And, changing out the blade is pretty simply. There are 2 flaws in the design, but these issues do not prevent me from still choosing this knife over all the others. 1. The spring inside the knife can easily fall out and get lost when the knife is open. Without the spring, it is difficult to open the knife. I suggest gluing the spring in place to prevent it from popping out. 2. I have broken a few of these knives by dropping them. Each time, the knifes locking mechanism cracked as a result of the fall. Aside from this, the knives are very tough. The locking mechanism seems to be the only weak spot. I highly recommend this product.

Excellent tool
I had one of these for over 10 years without the quick change that I lost when I renovated my house. It's probably in a ceiling somewhere. I bought it as an electrician's apprentice so it logged a few thousand hours before I changed trades. It was then relegated to typical home construction. I've been though about 10 others since I lost it. I never wanted to spend the extra couple of bucks or I wanted to try fancier fold out types with all sorts of quick change schemes. I was fooling myself. These are the best. Like most Lenox tools, they are made well. Build quality is substantiated by the fact that they don't carry them at HD along side all the disposable junk tools anymore. The quick change mechanism is simple and easy. Blades don't get jambed trying to change them out. The retainer for extra blades inside the handle is easily accessible and holds securely. Ergonomics are excellent. It's stout enough to fill your palm and provides a really positive grip. Even after being caked with plaster, the slide still works well. And it's light. The white paint let's it stand out against most of my other tools when tossed in a bag. I tend to keep only one hand tool of a specific type as it forces me keep track of them a little better, so they tend to get use. I prefer the D-ring screw mechanism that locks the clamshell found on other models, but I wanted the quick change version, which only comes with the spring loaded thumb switch. I think the other model is still available. Overall, I highly recommend this tool.

Very good sheetrock knife
I worked in the construction industry as a laborer for approximately two years, using this knife almost every day, finding it to be the best on the market. I actually just had to replace the knife because I made the mistake of letting someone else use my tools, and said person broke my knife. With that said, if you are a person who takes care of your tools, this is the knife to get. Here is what I like about this knife: 1) It fits well in my hand. It really feels solid. 2) The knife is well made. The mechanism that retracts the knife does not rattle about, as it does on lesser quality knives. Also, the blades fit well and firmly stay in place. 3) The paint scheme is bright and durable. While it really does not affect the functionality of the knife, it is nice that the knife will still be white two years after you buy it. The red painted logo did wear off after about a year though. 4) The blades made by Lenox are durable and retain their sharpness longer than cheap blades do. Here is what I do not like about this knife: 1) You have to use Lenox blades. Other blades do not fit and will not lock into place. These blades are not cheap either and are somewhat hard to find, just as Lenox knives are hard to find in mortar and brick stores (read as Home Depot and Lowes). In any case, buy this knife and buy it here on Amazon. I have seen these knives go for up to $23. I paid less than half of that (including shipping) here on Amazon.

Utility knife
Purchased for my husband as a replacement. He had purchased this same knife at Loweโs and loved it! Unfortunately it broke. We could not find the smae one at Loweโs again. So I was so happy to find it on Amazon. He states knife is light, easy to hold, easy to change blades out and is durable. Will purchase again if necessary. They are little pricey but well worth it.

Solid utility knife - best I've used!
Nice beefy utility knife - feels good in your hand. A bit tricky to get the blades out when replacing with a new one, but that same mechanism makes it impossible for a blade to accidentally come out in use. I had the locking mechanism break when I dropped this knife, so it won't stay shut on it's own anymore. However, I like it so much that I had no problem buying another immediately.

The best utility knife out there.
This is by far my favorite retractable utility knife out there. I used to purchase these a my local big box store until they stopped carrying them. Now I get them on Amazon and they are more expensive! If you wait for them to go on sale you can pick them up for under $13. I used to get them for $10. The design and build quality are the best. It is ergonomic, fits in a utility pouch or tool bag sleeve very easily. The smooth lines and curves make it very practical to hold with a strong grip. The quick change blade feature works very well. It also does end up being the part that fails and thus needing to replace the knife. A little bit of oil every now and then will help greatly to extend the life of the tool. I have tested many, many different utility knives over the years and this one has been my absolute favorite for the past 7. I am a contractor and use it daily for many different tasks. This one isn't designed with gimmicky features. It is solid and does its main job very very well. No plastic parts here!

I really do like this utility knife
I really do like this utility knife. Its very nicely made and I love the blade holder inside, as it clamps on around the blades instead of the blades just sitting there. Blades are very easy to change. Just push the lever all the way up and to the right. Pull the old blade out, put the new one end and let go of the trigger. I have many utility knives and this was is really comfortable in the hand. Honestly it could use some type of non slip grip on it. When your hands get a little sweaty they can slip a bit due to the glossy paint. It is a pure white with a gold tip so it is very easy to see laying around in the workplace or on a project. May be a little hard to spot for a drywaller though. Anyway I do recommend this. It comes with 3 of the lenox titanium blades, but I wouldnt recomend spending the extra money to buy these blades. They are sharp and work well, but they dont seem to hold an edge any longer than the Irwin Bi-Metal blades I usually use.

Great Utility Knives
This is my second Lenox Tools Utility knife, I lost my last one during our last move, which made me sad. I had the other one for over 10 years. It was the fixed blade version of the same tool. This unit with the retractable blade is great. The blade holding mechanism is very steady under heavy load and does not wobble or unexpectedly retract. The blade change mechanism is easy to use, but watch a video if it doesn't work for you the first time because it may not be intuitive for you. It was not for me. My favorite qualities of this tool is the handle shape and the weight. It is comfortable to hold for repeated cuts and has solid weight to it, making those cuts easy. If you are looking for your last utility knife, assuming you don't lose one like I did, I recommend this.

Like a tank
This is a solid knife. Very well constructed right down the hinge mechanism. I expect to get many many years of use of it. Good economics, thumb retractor works well. Might be nice to see some grippy rubber parts but then they'd likely be prone to falling away. Stores done carry this model in Canada, so when I saw that amazon.ca was finally offering it, I bought two!
