Great styling
Brilliant for style but goes white if not washed out the same day

Defines curls perfectly with no flakes
This is excellent. It has a nice subtle rose water scent and defines curls really well without any flakes. My husband uses it and his curls stay defined and moisturised for up to a week. Great hold without feeling heavy. Good value for money.

Amazing lightweight hair gel
Full disclosure: I'm white, I have wavy 2b hair, and I use this in a very shortened version of the curly girl method. I was a little hesitant to try this product because I was worried it would have a strong rose scent, but it smells very light and the scent doesn't linger. The texture is nice too, like a facial serum. I flip my head over after my hair has been re-dampened and scrunch into the ends. Letting it air dry after gives me really nice results: soft waves without using heat, very little frizz (i'm naturally frizzy unfortunately), and it almost always holds throughout the day. Highly recommend if you're new to the curly girl method, or just want something light and uncomplicated to add to your haircare routine :)

Too Harsh/Hard
I purchased this product several months ago with the expectation that it would give the curl absent the hardness. Unfortunately, it did not. It did pronounce the curl pattern I was looking for, but I found I had to mix it with a softening hair product in addition to the gel.
