Angle Grinder, One-Touch Guard, 4-1/2 -Inch (DWE4011)

Exactly what I needed. This 4.5 inch grinder from Dewalt is perfect for metal working small jobs. It’s powerful and gets the job done easily. Overall for the sale price at the money it’s a great value for the money.

Every Dewalt I own has been flawless and top quality inclusive of interchangeable, universal batteries, 24V.The new feature of this grinder is super convenient. The guard can be easily rotated for best coverage, via a lever.I can almost always determine the quality of a power tool by its cord material. It is heavy gage, flexible and rolls easily.My only complaint about this one…it is missing the two-prong wrench. A large hex wrench was included, but useless.

My husbands favorite new toy. Every day he finds a new use for it. Dewalt products are great! Noise level is loud but that's to be expected when you are trimming slate.

DeWalt makes great tools and this grinder is no exception. This is my replacement near-identical grinder to my first one bought and used frequently and to the max for almost twenty years. It finally died due to iron filings ingestion. The gears were still in great shape (these tools do need occasional re-greasing).A superb improvement over my defunct grinder is the One-touch guard adjustment feature. Before, I had to take a screw driver to the clamp, loosen, adjust, then re-tighten the clamp. Another improvement, unnoticed until I compared side-by-side. There are fewer exposed screws on the body to vibrate loose. The body is slightly smaller, so easier for smaller hands to grip.Numerous reviews complain about the Allen wrench v. the spanner wrench we’re all familiar with. This just my theory, I think the reason lies somewhere between Shrinkflation and “Where is my ****ing grinder spanner wrench?”. Maybe DeWalt thought it would be easier for a tool owner to find a common Allen wrench than a specialized tool. I may be one of thousands of grinder owners who can still find his. It’s in the bottom of my tool box where I dropped it twenty years ago. I’ve never needed to use it. Need to change a wheel? Unplug the grinder, lock the wheel and turn the wheel counter clockwise by hand. Voila! Yes, for that 1%, go find an Allen wrench.When using the new model, occasionally, my thumb misses the switch. Now I know why. It’s smaller.A multitude of different wheels are available, from sanding to grinding to sawing to cutting tile. A versatile tool and a great investment for $90. FYI: Most grinding wheels have an expiration date due to the lifespan of the epoxies used to make the wheels. Check the metal collar for the date of expiration. If you have an out-of-date wheel in your shop, discard it. It is no longer safe to use. It may disintegrate if used.

This is not the big-brother 11 amp version. This model is a standard duty grinder. Which means reasonable torque and speed. You can start this when holding it with one hand.Ripped through my first job, removing old caulk and paint from brickwork around windows. Do be aware that this is not variable speed. One terrific, consistent speed.I’m sure glad that I didn’t go for a cordless model. The inconvenience of swapping batteries often (I hear grinders go through batteries quickly) and the cost of owning enough 8 amp batteries made the decision easy.Buying a DeWalt is like buying a Honda. If you have ever used a grinder before you can start using the DeWalt right away.Do be aware that the grinder does not come with a spanner wrench. I picked up the $6 adjustable one I found on Amazon. Thumbs up. It does come with an Allen wrench and a heavy duty grinder wheel. I did not add the additional hand holding attachment but it does come in the box. The manual, too.Great sub-$100 tool that carries the DeWalt brand name. Highly recommend.

Replacing my 12 year old Dewalt grinder with this and it's slightly more refined. I appreciate the "no tool" chuck and how easy it is to change disks using the arbor lock button and supplied standard allen key, though the collar will also accept a standard pronged wrench (not supplied).

Potente, ligera y confiable.Puntos en contra: UNO, es ruidosa, ya lo sabía porque no es la primer herramienta Dewalt en mi taller y DOS, el nivel de vibración es un poco elevado.No es perfecta pero sí recomendable.

Been using it for a few months now and still running strong everyday. Just like any Dewalt it's a great tool and does a good reliable job.
