Great Product
Fits in drill perfectly, works as expected! The quality seems strong, doesn't feel brittle or cheap. Smaller in size than others that I have used, which is actually great so that I can store it in my guitar case and not lose it this time. Tight enough that it grips well, rubber lined. Easy to use. Smooth finish.

Drill Bit String Peg Winder for Guitars and More
I like this product very much... This tool does exactly what the Amazon description promised and more. It fits my electric screwdriver perfectly, and changing strings has never been easier or faster. The build feels sturdy, and it saves me both time and effort every time I restring. Simple, effective, and works like a dream—highly recommended!

I've tried the rest. This is the best!
I'm a professional guitar technician, and manage a shop of guitar technicians, and I've tried at least 6 different versions of these screwdriver-chuck peg winders from as many different manufacturers over the last decade-and-a-half. Hands-down, this one is the best one. Where it stands head-and-shoulders above the competition is the material from which it's constructed; I've never seen a peg-winder made of this softer plastic, as they are usually a harder plastic. This means that this peg-winder won't mar or scratch your tuning machines. This is the ONLY peg-winder I've ever seen where, after a couple months of heavy use (working on approximately 20 guitars a day, 5 days a week), you can still use it to tune up a set of satin black tuning machines without leaving slight marks on the keys. The downside is that this is less durable, but the average person would never realize as the durability is still fantastic for any consumer. If you are a pro working on dozens upon dozens of guitars a week, you may have to replace it every season/half-year/year etc. as your needs dictate, but I guarantee that you'll appreciate how delicately this tool treats your tuning machine keys. Of course, when you use this in a screwdriver, be sure you gear down the torque settings to keep your machines in awesome condition. Update September 18, 2017: The peg-winders are still holding up after about 4 months of "industrial"-level use. While they are beginning to display signs of wear of the plastic surface and are beginning to look a little dirty on the interior faces, they still function perfectly and still are leaving tuning machines mark-free. They are even more durable than I initially estimated, I believe. I've since invested in upgrading every technician's bench to this peg-winder, as other folks had been using older harder-plastic ones that could sometimes scratch tuning keys. Update July 2018: All the peg winders are still going strong while being gentle on tuning keys! In the interim period, I've also verified that these work on cylindrical tuning buttons (provided they don't have a ridiculously thin diameter), specifically the optional Industrial SK1 tuning buttons by Hipshot. Update March 2019: This will likely be my last update for this particular review. Long story short: My opinion that these are the best peg winders is unchanged. I have only had to replace one peg winder for my crew during the nearly 2 years we've been using 'em, and that particular winder was still functioning when retired (it was LOOKING rather raggedy, but still worked and still didn't leave marks on tuning machines; It was swapped out simply for the sake of professionalism). These things are awesome! Haven't yet received a defective one. Haven't yet had one break on me or any member of my crew. Don't waste your time on any other variants of this gizmo, as this is the Real McCoy.

Does what it's supposed to do
I mean, what else is there to say, it does precisely what it's supposed to do, but that's the beauty of it, right? I know you can find other no-name brands w/ similar versions for a buck or two cheaper, but MusicNomad is such a great brand and I've had such great luck w/ so many of their other products, that it was a no-brainer for me. Their entire line of products has made setups and basic guitar maintenance (and beyond) so much easier than I've ever had it in my twenty-ish years working on guitars. I remember asking why nobody had invented this yet many years ago to a brand/product representative coming into the music store I used to work at, and I recall getting some b/s answer as to why it couldn't be done and strings had to be wound manually. I never questioned it for some reason, but clearly others knew this was something that should exist, but didn't, so they finally made it so. Only word of caution: if you're putting this on a decent drill, just be careful and go slow once you have any level of tension on the string. I know, an obvious warning (and certainly not a fault of the product in any way... though it does give me an idea for putting some form of tensioner in. Like... a torque-stringwinder or something so it can stop or significantly slow down once there's a certain amount of tension. Sort of similar to those auto-winders that tune while winding. There ya go, that one's free, on me lol). Anywho, I did snap my high-e the first time I used it, even with being aware of this potentially happening and thinking I'd slowed down enough and stopped in time. I'll gladly trade-off an occasional broken string for a 3-minute string change, though. It's indispensable on days when I'm restringing half my guitars

Makes changing strings SO much quicker!
LOVE this winder!!! Really makes changing strings so much easier and faster. Didn't have a small electric/battery powered drill so had to use my Makita, which was a bit awkward but still WAY better than winding with the old fashioned winder I've been using for years. Will definitely get a small, chargeable drill before next change. Honestly can't recommend this more.

The BEST Peg Winder on the market!
This is one of the BEST Peg Winders on the market! It fit many various guitars and once you connect it to your drill you are off to the races. Winds strings on guitars quicker than by hand. Doesn't cost as much as a full battery operated peg winder and does it better. You are in control of how fast or slow you wish to wind the peg. Will see about durability over time. Currently, not a concern since it appears to be made of sturdy long lasting materials. So happy with this purchase.
