Reliable Power Supply – Great Value for Money
The MSI MAG A550BN is a solid and reliable power supply. Installation was straightforward, and it provides stable power with no issues so far. It’s been running quietly, even under load, which is a big plus. The build quality feels good for the price, and the cables are decent quality and long enough for a standard mid-tower case. At 550W, it’s more than sufficient for a typical gaming or everyday PC build. Overall, this is a dependable and affordable power supply from a trusted brand. Ideal for budget or mid-range systems, and I’d happily recommend it.

Reliable power supply
Good quality power supply that works exactly as expected. It was easy to install and fit into the case, and everything powered up without any issues. It runs quietly and feels solidly built, and the 550W capacity is plenty for a typical PC build. Overall a reliable PSU and good value for the price.

A no brainer
Not much to say. One of the very best budget power supplies literally of all time. I have never had issues with this, and have always loved to work with them. With a premium name such as MSI comes a premium building experience and also a premium feel with the cable length, ability to manage cables with ease and also great connectivity, only missing the very newest ATX 3.1 connector. The cables are a nice pure black which ties in with all black builds, and the actual internals are good quality, passing all the tests on my PSU tester. *** 5 stars *** My Star Rating: ★★★★★ | No brainer - Top product. Not only do I like it, but it’s well worth it, IMHO ★★★★☆ | Like it - Great product and value for money. I'm happy with this. ★★★☆☆ | OK - Product is average. Nothing wrong, but I’d probably be looking for a sale ★★☆☆☆ | Hmmm… - Not worth the price, functional but nothing better than mediocre ★☆☆☆☆ | Avoid - Very Poor Quality item not fit for purpose. I wouldn’t buy it at any price.

Nice first PSU for my matx build
Cheapest 550w I could find that had an 80+ bronze rating, it fits in an matx case the cables are very long abit too long which is a problem with a small case, very easy to install with only 4 screws, works great as a power supply from a trustworthy company.

Does the job cost effectively
I seem to have been using MSI components a bit more recently as they seem to present a reasonable price performance point. The PSU went into my son's Bazzite build - a new PC to replace his old Win 10 one. It gets daily and heavy use and the PSU has been as good as gold since the machine was commissioned into use, including powering a Radeon 6400XT GPU and 5600X based mobo etc. The cabling is not modular but I am fine with that at this price point and I just spent a bit of time securing spare power connectors when I cabled up all the various connections I needed on the build. Plugs and sockets are all decent quality and fit nicely into their opposite numbers as you would expect. I found cable lengths to be fine for the build I was doing. Fan noise is reasonable - by no means silient but not sounding like a hovercraft when under load either. I liked this enough to order another for my existing PC when the 12v auxiliary rail in my existing PSU failed recently and like the first one its been absolutely fine to date.

Best Budget Power Supply for your Budget Build
I bought this power supply to replace my sister's power supply on her PC. This is the best PSU I could find within our budget range. It may be budget but it still has the specifications that I'm looking for like * 80 Plus Bronze certified for high efficiency * 120mm Low Noise Fan * All black cables also, the build quality of this power supply matches the quality of those power supplies around $100.

Good quality PSU that won't explode on you
Rated C tier on the PSU Cultist list so you know it's reliable. It's pretty cheap and covers gaming at 1080p with ease, if you don't mind a non-modular power supply this is a good choice. Only downside for me were the screws were a bit finnicky and tight when installing it in the case, but it was fine after some trial and error.
