Currently taking my headaches away
Unlike many other reviewers, I do not take these for asthma or seasonal allergies. I currently take them for headaches, what I call migraine headaches and what my doctor calls tension headaches (we disagree). I've had problems with headaches for quite a few years now and have always "carefully" used Advil, which usually helped but didn't completely take the headache away. More recently I've been having more headaches and they are powerful bad ones, pain on both sides of the head, tension in the neck and upper back, lasting about 24 hours (+/- 4 hours), and usually include some stomach discomfort such as nausea and lack of appetite. In the past I blamed many of my headaches on caffeine (too much or not enough) but I found those headaches usually went away after a couple hours of sleep. The headaches I get not do not usually diminish with sleep and if I don't take anything for them, the pain prevents me from sleeping. In the past year I discovered that I was getting headaches every time I consumed pepper - red pepper, chili pepper, cayenne, tabasco, jalapenos, and even red or green bell pepper. Even the tiniest amounts such as contamination would cause one of my severe "migraine" headaches. This has been debilitating as I don't cook much and pepper is in many prepared and restaurant foods, often hidden in ingredients such as "spices" or "natural flavorings", or even just getting in stuff through contamination (same grill, same oil, etc). I grew up heating hot peppers all the time and I love eating at Chipotle's so it's been hugely disappointing to develop this problem. I've found a few other reports online of the same, but it does seem to be a very unusual problem. Just recently I've discovered that if I take one or two of these as soon as I feel (or suspect) a headache, it seems to stop the headache completely. I do get dry mouth and sometimes urinate a little more than usual as quercetin appears to be a diuretic. Quercetin is also a vasodilator (relaxes or "dilates" blood vessels) as it seems to increase nitric oxide in the blood. Vasodilators are generally considered the cause of migraines, so it seems odd that one vasodilator (peppers) will cause me a headache and another one (quercetin) will take it away. Likely the real mechanisms involved here are more complicated than that. I am pleased though to find that quercetin has this affect as Advil seems to be causing me ulcer-like symptoms (nausea, bloating, acid reflux), even at doses as small as (2) pills every five to seven days. University of Maryland Medical Center's website says that Quercetin has been known to cause kidney damage at doses greater than 1g (or 1000mg) per day, though I cannot find any scientific study showing that. Each capsule contains 250mg so (4) of these in a day might put you in kidney damage zone. I'm really careful, only taking them when I need them, and I usually try to take only 2 or max 3 in a 24 hour period. I don't think kidney damage can be detected in its early stages so you do want to be careful with these. However, oddly enough, quercetin has also been shown to protect against kidney damage or to help people who have kidney disease, so the studies here seem to be conflicting. I suspect the headache reducing effect for me will be short lived, or else I'll end up finding out that it also had to do with something else I was doing at the same time as I have been trying other things like cutting out caffeine, exercising, and experimenting with a few other supplements. If I have any more definitive information to add, I'll try to remember to come back and update this review. For now, I am sure that quercetin does take my bad headaches away as I've proven it numerous times (but it does seem to work best if I catch it early).

CLOTS-BE-GONE
This review is for Quercitin-Bromelain/Nattokinase/Serrapeptase, because I take them all together, and don't know which individually had the great effect - BUT IF YOU EVER SUFFER CLOTS, READ THIS: I was struck by a 5500lb truck at 30mph and thrown 60ft and then run over with both axles, and suffered severe internal injuries. I ended up with a lot of raisin-sized clots in my anus. For some reason, they get stuck there, it's like a turn-around point in the venal-arterial system (like the hands/feet/head). First a doctor told me it was an emergency, and to come right in to have them surgically removed, so I did, and suffered the consequences of the poor physicians where I live (in many professional ways, it's 3rd world). She cut thru muscle and did a lot of damage, but did remove about 7 raisin sized clots. Then I noticed more (in the shower when you clean yourself), but since I couldn't go back to the doctor because of her wreckless neglect, I found these products in a desperate search to help myself - and guess what! THEY WORKED. I would take 2 of each (EMPTY STOMACH ONLY!), 6 total in the morning, and THEY DISSOLVED THE CLOTS IN DAYS! TRULY AMAZING! INCREDIBLE!!! SUPEREXPIALIDOCIOUS! The medical profession won't recognize this, but this stuff is MAGIC when it comes to blood clots - may have saved my life - since clots can do a lot of damage if they get stuck in your head or heart. Anyway, this is just incredible stuff for blood clots. Can't thank this business enough for a product that works like a charm. I am so thankful for this product. I feel like donating to the business out of gratuity! Now and then, I take them just for the heck of it, and have not had any more problems with blood clots. I really can't be more thankful - I would have had to have flown 1000 miles to deal with this any other way. IT IS MAGIC FOR BLOOD CLOTS!!! Hehe - MAGIC!

Won't Raise Your Blood Pressure
Better than Pseudoephedrine. Works well with my blood pressure medication and I can take as much as I need with hardly any side effect. When my sinus was infected, I used this in larger quatities, about 4 to 6 per dose, twice daily, and I got some minor leg cramps, but with only one of two a day to treat my day-to-day regular sinus problems, I have no side effects whatsoever. Bromelain is all natrual and is found in Pineapple, the only bromiliad plant that humans can consume with impunity, and is found in meat tenderizers and marinates. It helps to loosen mucous and break it down. Quercetin shuts down the mucous generator, which is something most mucous medications can't do. I use this in conjunction with Fexofenedrine and it works pretty well to control my allergies here in Michigan. Many people that live here have the "Michigan Sinus" which is infamous here in Michigan which my doctor told me about. He approved of this regimine with the Quercetin and Bromelain when taken with my anti-allergen of choice. In my opinion, if you have high blood pressure, this is a cheaper, safer alternative than pseudoephedrine.

Use for Allergies
Quercetin Bromelain was recommended to me some years ago for allergies related to pollens and dust. Living on the Central Coast of California, there is usually something growing that produces pollen. And with the lack of rain, we are having more dust. I take 2 of these every morning, and while it doesn't solve all allergy issues, I notice a difference when I don't take it. It also seems to work better with consistency. The pills are a bit large, but have the smooth casing that helps to swallow them. And the price is reasonable compared to other allergy meds. Also, there are NO side effects like sleepiness, jitters, stomach issues.

Prevents flares for mcad
When I stop taking this I get a flair up. Highly recommend as part of treatment for mast cell allergies. My doctor told me to try it so Iโm really glad I saw someone current in good treatments! People taking it for fibromyalgia may see if mild mcad/mcas description fits their experience during flairs (if they arenโt responding to western meds). Not enough mast cell aware docs out there yet imo. Consider Googling Anne Maitland webinars. Same with anyone taking it for apnea responsive allergies. Swelling decreases, apnea diminishes. Cool! if your mast cells are misbehaving somewhere, Quercitin is a good, natural mast cell stabilizer. As a random aside, Studies on quercitin in treating diseases have been done in Canada. If interested, Google quercitin Ebola, quercitin covid-19, quercitin sars. if you rely on this, you May consider buying what you can afford to have a reasonable supply built up.

This stuff is a godsend for throat clearing
My MD/ND prescribed Quercetin for me for my excessive throat clearing. It got to the point where my family hated when I woke up in the morning and often through the day. I was like a mucus factory this past year. I took 2 capsules 2x per day of this brand and noticed a difference within 3-4 days. After two weeks, no more throat clearing. Wow! My doctor said to just stay on this and to stop taking antihistamines/decongestants. I had figured maybe I had allergy issues. I don't think that's it. This product has gotten me off those things that can raise blood pressure and feeling clearer than ever. I had brought this up to my regular family MD but he just told me to take antihistamines. I think it took an MD/ND willing to look at me holistically. I have come to the conclusion that traditional medicine can't help people...except if you are cut and bleeding.

No more sinusitus, and Eustachian tube dysfunction
I developed chronic sinusitis due to a Eustachian tube dysfunction caused by allergies, Not that my nose seemed to be clogged up I didn't notice any clogging in my sinuses but my ears would feel full and my hearing would be muffled. The past few years I would constantly end up at the doctors office to get antibiotics and when my ears would be full they told me I had a dysfunctional Eustachian tube and I had no clue what was causing it. But antihistamines would help subside the symptoms causing me to think it might be inflammation. Long story short knowing the side effects of taking antibiotics frequently and feeling weighed down from taking allergy pills, even on daytime medication. I started looking for alternate solutions and after reading all the reviews on this product I gave it a try and these past few months have been great. No more sinusitis no more clogged ears. If I feel like my nose is starting to clog up even from a cold, I take the product and my sinus is clear. No more nasal sprays (steroid). Hopefully with pollen season coming up, it will work as well as it did for me during winter season. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Since this information is not on the bottle I think people should know. After doing some research I found out, people with kidney problems should not use this product. And in some cases taking 1g of bromelain have led to kidney damage. So please use the supplement as directed, or if you use other supplements which include bromelain be careful not to over dose. This will mean if you take this product four times a day, since one dose is 250mg it would be 1g. Also long term usage of bromelain has not been tested so they do recommend taking breaks.

So far the only thing that has worked for my allergic rhinitis
I'm 33 and live in Delhi. I don't exactly remember since when but it must have been around 18 years since I have been facing the problem of allergic rhinitis. It's not something that troubles me throughout the year but for almost 4-5 months every year, in different seasons, it gets triggered. And when it does, I become extremely sensitive to dust, perfumes or anything having a strong smell. I start sneezing, my eyes get watery and red and I find it very hard to focus and look at my computer screen. I have taken different medications like cetrizine, levocetrizine, allegra, montelucast, fluticasone spray and what not. But all of these medicines only work when I get some sleep after taking them. If I don't sleep, my entire day is ruined with constant sneezing and I can't do any work properly. Over the years, I have had some good seasons and some bad. There have been some years when my sneezing didn't get triggered at all throughout the year and there have been years when it has been so bad that I have been sneezing from August to December. This year (2020) has been worse. I faced problems in February and March. Then till August I was perfectly fine. But since August, it has been really bad and this month (December) it has been terrible. It's like I have been sneezing almost every day this month. I had given up all hope that anything can work but started doing some research on home remedies. That's when I stumbled upon a blog post which talked about benefits of quercetin supplements. I had nothing to lose so I searched for the same here on Amazon and ordered this product since it had good reviews. I have been taking this supplement from last 4 days only (2 tablets a day) but surprisingly it has worked well. In fact, this is the only medicine which has worked immediately, without me having to get some sleep after taking it. I haven't found any studies which indicate any adverse effects of this supplement and since it contains pigments which are naturally found in food, I am hoping there should not be much adverse effects and even if there are, I am hoping they should not be as bad as the medicines I had been taking earlier. Also, 4 days is a very short span to comment about the effectiveness of this supplement but I am hopeful it will work in the long term. If it does, it is going to be a life changing medicine for me. Update (January 5 2021): It's been 2 weeks since I have been taking this. Dosage reduced to 1 tablet per day, sometimes I also skip if I am feeling perfectly fine. So far so good. I hope it continues to work fine
