Atsko Sno-Seal Silicone Water-Guard Repellent 12-Fluid Ounce Aerosol

This is really the only water sealant spray for all of our fabrics we ever use. We use it on absolutely everything. We live high up in the Colorado Rocky Mountains by Vail. Living here, we have long winters, & get a lot of snow. We stay very active outdoors, in every season, all year long. With lots of playing in the snow & rain! Along with being very active outdoors in all of the seasons here. No matter the weather or season, we need to stay dry! So we need to make sure that our gear stays dry, warm, & works as it’s supposed to. So that we can enjoy our outdoor adventures. We use this Water Sealant for almost everything. Just to make sure that we keep ourselves and all of our kiddos dry & warm! We’ve never have had any problems, issues, stains, or funky smells afterwards. When wearing or using whatever we’ve used the product on. The product does exactly as it states. It helps to block & keep any water out of any of your fabrics you need sealed! We use it on our coats, hats, gloves, snow pants, on our shoes, & everything else in between. I’m sure you could use it on just about any fabric! Along with multiple various other items & materials. Especially all the items & materials that it states you can use it on, directly stated on the can or online. Its super easy to use. You just spray it directly on the fabric you are needing to seal, let it dry, & that’s it. We just wash and dry anything that can be washed first before using the spray. Then just make sure you give whatever you are spraying it on, a good overall coating in a well ventilated area. It dries quickly, absorbs, doesn’t smell, and works great! We usually put ours in a warm, well heated area. (We usually use our hot water heater & utility room. As its always nice and toasty in there and helps to dry everything completely & super fast!) But we have also hung things outside during the summer to dry, as well! However you can hang them really anywhere to dry! It’s just faster in the specific places like I stated above. You honestly can’t beat the price of it! With the amount you get for the price. How long it lasts & how many things you can use it on with that amount. Especially compared to the other various water sealants. That have way more steps to them, ones that may cause stains, can damage or can only be used on certain fabrics & materials. Or ones that can only seal a few items with the amount bought, so you’ll need to buy more, or ones that requires several steps to complete! We buy this product off of Amazon and Walmart. As you can sometimes get a bigger size and cheaper price on or at Walmart. But just check, because it all just depends. However it’s still a great price and purchase on Amazon as well! It all just varies. So just make sure to check before buying. Just to save you some money & get bigger sizes of it for your money!

Been through 1 season and tent is water proof.

I’ve used this stuff several times for waterproofing heavy duty, professional grade, ez up canopy tops. It waterproofs those very well. That said, it’s pretty hit or miss with the spraying ability of the cans. I’ve used at least 20 cans over a few years. Maybe half spray well, the rest sputter, and get product all over the can. Sometimes by the time I’m halfway through a can it will stop spraying well. I’ve tried cleaning the nozzles and using different nozzles, but nothing works. So I wear gloves and keep spraying. It goes on so badly it usually is all drippy on the canopy top but in the end the top is waterproof and not globby looking, so I go with it. Really wish it sprayed well or that I could get the product in a brush on format. It’s a huge pain in the a$$ but it does the job. Definitely have gloves and a quality air mask on hand when you spray it. I also use this stuff on boots and raincoats and bags and it does the job. I tried some trigger type spray nozzles, available here on Amazon, with this product and it didn’t work. Maybe these cans aren’t a standard size? Not sure.

I’ve heard about “atsko” before and decided to give this stuff a try. I sprayed it onto my jackets, shoes, gloves, hats, and umbrella. Some of you may be wondering, “why an umbrella?” Well, when used on an umbrella the rain will slide right off and there is less worry about bringing a wet umbrella into the home or office. Just a quick shake and the umbrella is virtually dry. I first bought this spray nearly a year ago and my first item tested was a wind breaker jacket that I decided to also make into a rain jacket. This stuff works best when used sparingly and with even coverage. Soaking the fabric with the spray is just unnecessary overkill and a bit of a waste. One can lasted me about 10 pairs of shoes, an umbrella, and two and a half jackets. Wear gloves when spraying and definitely spray outdoors and give at least a couple days to fully dry and rid of the chemical smell. And also to reduce waste, place another garment that you intend to spray beneath you while you work so as to catch the excess overspray. I tried this method and I found that much of the overspray had covered about half of a third jacket. Once dry this stuff is great. I gauge the “dryness” with whether or not I can still smell the spray. After just one application, my windbreaker/rainjacket hasn’t failed me after a Pacific Northwest Fall through Spring rainy season. And for those that know about the Pacific Northwest, rain can be a daily thing during much of the year. For the price vs performance ratio, this product is fantastic. I will buy a few more bottles just to respray heavily worn jackets, but I really don’t think that I need to.

This silicone spray is easy to apply, and it has a good reputation. It should not be applied too thick if you follow its directions, just enough to make the appearance of the item being treated as evenly wet afterwards.

This was soooo easy to use. I'm traveling soon, and the Spring weather is off and on rainy, so I decided to waterproof my travel jacket. It's microfiber and very lightweight. Took it, my travel sun hat, and my walking shoes outside, hung them from a branch of a tree over decorative rocks, and sprayed. I was concerned about where to spray, because any overspray would settle below the item I was waterproofing. So, outside for ventilation and possible waterproof rocks! The spray is a fine mist; shake, spray, repeat. I wore plastic gloves, and the whole process took about 5 minutes. I sprayed the tops and all around the sides of my shoes, overlapping a little on the side of the soles. The spray has a definite chemical smell. Later in the day I took all the items and hung them on the garage door opener rail in the garage, and left the garage door open halfway, plus the side garage man-door open. Everything was dry in about 4 hours on a sunny 68 degree day. The smell was completely gone, too. This morning I sprayed the jacket sleeve with water, and it beaded and rolled off. There was absolutely NO visible sign that my jacket had been treated, so it still looked soft and packable. I'm delighted with this product, and I have almost a whole can left over for future waterproofing of other clothing I wear during the winter/rainy season.

I would advise to not spray this stuff on anything White. It will leave a yellow stain/splotch/etc. I use it to spray my new sneakers so I wasn't too mad, it made them look a little vintage. But if you like bright white. Don't use this stuff on footwear. On the other hand I sprayed my Spiewak Parka and tossed that umbrella out the door! Performance: My can sprayed a perfect mist at times then shot out heavy saturation like a spray bottle at the stool and streamed. Outside tempers were all good etc. maybe an old can. It's empty now and I'm ready to sing in the rain.

Works very well to repel water but not dirt as much but then it's not advertised to. A bit expensive but works.

I bought this to do my tent in the spring I tried it on my winter boots and a pair of shoes it works great you can barely tell afterwards that it's been applied I love this product I highly recommend it I'll be buying more...... So I did my tent after setting it up at the campsite used about two cans, it rained every day for 2 weeks the tent stayed nice and dry.... I have a rooftop tent on my Jeep I decided to spray it as well that took about six cans.... Very happy with this product definitely will be getting more in the future

The spray covers a large area and definitely works with waterproofing. It worked well on my dark-coloured shoes (suede and leather.) However, I also used this on white shoes and any adhesive on white canvas shoes turned yellow (the lining of the sole to the foot of the shoe.) Don’t use this on white shoes just in case.

I used this spray on my new dog jacket as the jacket wasn't as waterproof as I had expected it to be. One good coat of this spray and a few days to let it cure and water is beading up on it. My golden retriever is now nice and dry when she goes out in the rain. Highly recommended.
