What if the sleeping beauty never woke up? Break the curse in this tale inspired by Sleeping Beauty , from the New York Times bestselling series that reimagines beloved Disney films. It should be simple–a dragon defeated, a slumbering princess in a castle, a prince poised to wake her. But when the prince falls asleep as his lips touch the fair maiden’s, it is clear that this fairy tale is far from over. With a desperate fairy’s last curse controlling her mind, Princess Aurora must escape from a different castle of thorns and navigate a dangerously magical landscape—created from her very own dreams. Aurora isn’t alone—a charming prince is eager to join her quest, and old friends offer their help. But as Maleficent’s agents follow her every move, Aurora struggles to discover who her true allies are—and, moreover, who she truly is. Time is running out. Will the sleeping beauty be able to wake herself up? Review: Classic:Sleeping Beauty: Twisted Tale - Classic Sleeping Beauty Twisted Tale: Once Upon A Dream. Paperback book. Even better than the first one
I really enjoyed this story. As with A Whole New World I enjoyed all the character development. The original Disney story had all the characters as one dimensional so seeing them with some personality was great. I liked the Aurora in this story a lot better than the movie as once she escapes from the castle she decides to escape the dream and that in turn will save her remaining kingdom. Ms. Braswell's idea to not have Aurora be in love with Phillip as soon as she meets him in the dream world was brilliant. I have grown less fond of insta-love the more I age. It was fine when I was a kid but now that I'm older the less I believe in that. I didn't like that in the dream world her parents were supposed to be evil but that like everything else was a fabrication by Maleficent. And Phillip was so cute in this tale. I saw him as a adorable little puppy when he reunites with Aurora but he does turn into this badass determined to save his love. I wish that people would give this series a chance and not judge it up against the movies that the books are based upon. The Disney movies are made to be kid-friendly and are loosely based off the actual tales. As with the last book I am looking forward to the next in the series. I hope it's Beauty and the Beast as it's my favorite fairytale. Rating: 4½ stars out of 5

A Twisted Dream
What an interesting take on the tale of sleeping beauty. Manipulating dreams and challenging our power over dreams is such an interesting concept that the author builds on in each chapter. The focus on deep relationships is amazing and interwoven so well into the story. You even question what she may feel throughout the adventure. A great read for a modern spin on this tale.

One of my Favs!
This was one of my favorite twisted tales. I loved the whole dream concept and how people started to disappear when they started to act strange. I thought the ending was beautiful as well. Loved the love and the fact that she questioned her sanity.

A nice expansion of the Sleeping Beauty tale
I enjoyed the original story and the Disney film of Sleeping Beauty. This book is based on both, and gets even darker than the Disney film, but not quite as dark as the original story. It focuses on Aurora, as expected, but also focuses more on Maleficent and Prince Phillip, the latter of which didn't get much focus in the film and wasn't exactly an upstanding person in the original tale. It's nice to see he has a part in the story too, when he and Aurora genuinely loved each other in the Disney film. Braswell's expansion of the whole story has been very enjoyable to read and I look forward to reading more of her novels when I get the chance.

Great for true Disney fans
I am a huge Disney fan so couldn't wait to start reading this book. I have already read and loved the first book in the series of twisted tales so I knew I wouldn't be dissappointed with this one. It's brilliantly written and it sucks you into the alternative version of the tale of Sleeping Beauty. Then the mother of all twists happens and I literally couldn't put the book down because I needed to know what happened to Aurora next! Each chapter is ended in a way that makes you want/need to read more! I feel that it ends perfectly, it's not your typical Disney 'they lived happily ever after' but it's perfect. I recommend this book to all disney fans young and old!

Bien
Pas le meilleur de la série des " what if " , il reste bon ( mais quand on le compare à Aladdin et à La Belle et la Bête , il est clairement en dessous ).
