I have a garage and workshop. At finishing time I lock up and move away, then realise I have left the lights on, which is very annoying so I decided to install a smart switch The first thing to do is turn the power off. Before I remove the old switch I took some pictures of the cables and label them.I had to replace the back box for a deeper one. Then I connected the new smart switch, turned the power back on to check before finishing off Everything worked fine and pleased with the job I had done. The pairing with smart life was easy

I've tried a few no neutral switches and I've had issues with them all, but this one is great. Doesn't need a hub, if you have a new LED light (like me) then you don't need to use the capacitor either, tuya picked this up so quickly and without any issues and it connects so fast after a turning the power back on. I'll defo be getting more!

worked fine for about 8 months then the physical switches started to become very unresponsive. You need to keep your finger on them for several seconds to get the switch to work. Then after another couple of months they stopped working altogether. The Wifi receiver still works and I can switch the lights on and off remotely, but the physical switches are useless. I have to buy another one now after less that 18 months as I need to have the physical switch option due to the location. Very disappointing if I'm going to have to spend £20 every 18 months!

Nice piece of kit, easily fitted and set up, only issue I had (noted that other reviews state the same after I had fitted) was that the led lamps flickered, was quite noticeable. I found that replacing one of the 5 led lamps with a regular lamp stopped this (annoying as getting the older bulbs is getting more difficult). No mention anywhere that led could be an issue (maybe it shouldn't be) 🤷

Bought this is part of my project to standardize all of my smart home stuff into the Smart Life app. I removed a previously purchased no neutral unit which did suffer from the buzzing associated with these no neutral devices. I was pleasantly surprised when I fitted this one, it worked immediately using the old capacitor from the old switch and there is no buzzing whatsoever. Very easy to connect to the app, very easy to connect to Alexa. I am very pleased with the purchase

Needs an earth or you need to wire in a capacitor that comes with it. Capacitor sits loose so backbox needs to be deeper. So a little more fiddly to fit than expected.

Love the way this switch works. Perfect for my garage and very happy with it. Needed an electrician though, as it was a bit outside my capabilities getting it wired initially, even switching it with a standard 3 way switch. Connecting it to wifi and alexa was an absolute dream though, very straight forward.

I was a bit dubious of the reviews as they all seemed a bit too 'perfect'. It worked really well, and connected to the 2.4Ghz side of the home wi-fi with ease. Having installed a few of this design (not this make) for a few customers I was aware it needed a bigger back box or a single box spacer so was prepared for that bit. Connected to wi-fi network, and Alex app within minutes. Managed to rename and control with Echo with no issue. And now part of our nightly Alexa routine to turn off all lights.
