This is the very best that money can buy. Perfect for an acoustic show. You could even do a whole 3-4 pice band in a small area.

If you trying to decide between EMX7 and the EMX2/5, get the 7.
EMX7 perfect for small to medium gigs. Get the EMX7 for real eq and speaker specific - speaker processing for Yamaha speakers.Initially bought the EMX2 and sent it right back. The one knob eq was just a high/low pass filter and bass boost when turned all the way to low. Effects could only be applied to the 4 channels but all stereo inputs were separate. EMX7 has none of those problems. Very well thought out.If you're using this with Yamaha speakers, it has speaker processing (eq) presets for every passive speaker yamaha makes. This is a good improvement over the generic speaker processing on the cheaper models.5 Things I don't like about this product:1). Instead of having gate knobs and red peak indicators on each channel, there are no gate knobs and green indicators that indicate compression. It's dummy proof and cheaper to produce but it's vastly inferior for a audio professional.2). There's no external effects loop....3). There's a 31 band EQ but you can only adjust 9 bands at once. If you're putting a 31 band EQ on it, charge me for the whole thing. I want it.4). There's no headphone output. How am I susposed to know what the mix sounds like?5). There's no subwoofer output. The EMX2/5 have them. Why didn't the EMX7 get one?

I hate that this isn't really 12 channels
I've tried to dig around so much and there's virtually nothing (in English, anyway) that sheds light on the fact that this really only have 8 usable channels. I guess a stereo instrument, like keys, could use 1 channel, but I still need more!I need 4 vox, 1 bass, 1 (or 2) keys, 1 kick, 1 drum overhead, 2 guitar. That give me 10 or 11... I should still have 1 or 2 left over! Why do they market these as 12 channel?!? And they're ALL like this! I'm sending mine back right away ang getting a true 12+ channel powered mixer.

You will love it. Also
This thing is a monster as far as power goes. 2x 600W [4ฮฉ], 2x 400W [8ฮฉ] (1kHz THD+N less than 1% Nobody in this price range Rates their product at that low of distortion . The headroom is incredible and you can push the bass way further and keep it clean with any speaker. Sound wise you can't beat it. I gave it 4 stars because of its big but light, very confusing to operate { eq, echo, aux send is TRS stereo 1/4 jack just need an adapter and wish it tilted back a little more. Your system revolves around this thing. You will love it. Also, like the speakon/1/4 jack for speaker output.
