How big are the wheels?

8" high and 2.5" wide and in my opinion they could be bigger AND it would be awesome if the bottom had skid plates to help it slide up stairs and curbs ect. It's heavy too.

How long will a cooler full of beer with a couple of ice packs stay cold?

I have this cooler. Its dependent on how much ice you put in and how often you open it. Not sure what kind of ice packs you are talking about but i usually put 20 lbs of ice in when i store beers. I love my cooler because its rugged and will keep things cold for days. I've tested it for 4 days in the back of my truck on a road trip and definitely over packed with beer and not enough ice. I then added a 5 pound ice bag on top mid trip. Everything was still plenty cold when we got home. With saying that if you expect things to stay super cold with a couple small ice packs then your being a little unrealistic. Beer should also be already cold and its best to put ice in your cooler the night before to get it super cold then dump it out and put fresh ice when you pack it with whatever your storing before your trip.

Would this fit in a standard size cars trunk?

I would suggest you measure your trunk. We have an SUV and Truck, so I can't help you . Sorry!

I don't see why not. I've never needed dry ice. The coolers stay plenty cold with regular ice packs. But if I felt I needed dry ice I wouldn't hesitate to put some in these coolers.
