Transducer Discs, Dimplex Optimyst Spares, Replacement Disks for Dimplex Electric Heater Fire (Pack of 6pcs)

After buying lost of parts for the fire, (transducers galore) as a final attempt to save it from the scrap heap I bought these. The fire is once again working. This seller is always excellent and a pleasure to deal with.

We bought a transducer which cut out after half an hour each time we put the fire on, so deemed not working faulty and dangerous as must have overheated. We then tried a pack of these discs and put them in our old transducer and works fine.

Bought a transducer off Amazon which I thought was a genuine part and it was a poor Chinese copy at Dimplex genuine part price hence return ... but then I noticed people where buying these and the tool for little money and some fake Chinese copy you get the bundle deal with a copy transducer for 1/3 price of a genuine one . I took my genuine original apart and saw the disc ( had this fire for 5 years ) and only cleaned it twice and thought the disc maybe gummed up ... so I bought a pack of these gave it a try and it works so maybe this could be the cheaper option to try before paying for a transducer you may not need ? My local independent fire supplier was going to charge me £101 for a transducer said it was a genuine Dimplex part and charge me an extra £55 call out charge to fit and commission it Found it easy to do ...

Bought these to try and fix the original transducer which no longer produced sufficient mist to make an effective smoke effect. Unfortunately these did no work. The tool to remove the original disc did not fit as it was too narrow so I had to resort to a thin price of metal which did the trick. Immediately on removing the original disc it was clear that the new disc seals were totally different and would not fit into the transducer. I therefore reused the old seals with the new glass and whilst the seals worked the new glass disc did not cure the lack of mist. In the end I bit the bullet and bought a replacement transducer which sorted the problem and my fire now looks great again

Bought a new transducer for a dimpled fire. Worked a treat but saw the discs were also available. The old transducer had failed so it was worth trying a new discs. Unfortunately it didn’t work but was worth a try.

Please Note. This review was intended for the TRANSDUCER and NOT the Discs. My Mistake. I was a little concerned as the shape was slightly different from the original. But its good to see the fire working properly again with plenty of imitation smoke which meant I didn't have to contact a service engineer.

Cleaned all aspects of my fire , added disc , nothing happened or mist did not accure , questionable product

The key was not big enough to open the screw.
