Review: Simple and straightforward - This is not the only book I have about Yoga and specifically geared toward men. This is a really good book with a lot of information that is presented in an easy to read and understand way. It does not have a lot of yoga poses, but it has 40 and thatโs plenty to get started in yoga. I would recommend this book to anyone and not just men Review: Very easy to follow - I bought this for my grandson who is in jail so he could excercise and strengthen his knees. He and another cell-mate use it every day. They love using this book.

Great for Beginners
I have been practicing yoga a little lately and I am learning more and more each week. I really like this book. Though I wish there had been images as he ran through all the poses, I really liked how he covered a little terminology which has been causing me some issues, he also delved into different types of yoga and breathing exercise, and what I really liked was the 4 week workout plan. Great book for a beginner

By the way he told me this was a good read beforehand
I didnโt realize my gay bestfriend purchased an ebook using my account when he was over at my house the other day. Was surprised to find this in my Kindle library and because I was intrigued, I decided to read it. By the way he told me this was a good read beforehand, so I had expectations. I was not disappointed, as this was well-written and quite informative even if it was short. Whoever said that yoga is just for women needs to change their way of thinking! Yoga, after all, is a form of workout, and exercise is for everybody regardless of age, built or gender. My only concern is the lack of illustrations. That would help with the poses and Iโm sure beginners would appreciate that.

Improve your mood and increase your libido
Iโve been doing Yoga for years, but always in a mixed group of men as well as women. This book by Michael Williams is intended, I believe for men who are not in a Yoga group but who actually practice by themselves. He covers the basics of Yoga - Asanas, Mudra, Prana, Pranayama and the various terms like Namaste and Om, plus the different Yogic techniques such as Bikram, Hatha (the one I know), Iyengar and Kripalu. A good portion of the book describes the various Yoga poses (Asanas) suitable for men. One thing I like about the book are the sequences, which list the poses in order. There is also a very helpful 4-Week Yoga Plan that you can follow or you can design your own plan.

Great Yoga Guide!
This book really covered the range of the different processes related to yoga. The description of the movements were clear, as were the explanation of the benefits. Breathing was also an important topic I learned a lot about, and grateful I did. It was a comprehensive guide on the different elements related to yoga, tailored well for men. The recipes also gave interesting ideas for keeping the results!

It's funny because I always associated yoga with women
It's funny because I always associated yoga with women. It is not stereotypical because there are yogis who are men but seeing a picture of a man doing yoga is unusual for me. This is the reason why I purchased this book. I want to learn the difference between a guy and a girl yoga practitioner. Whether or not they undergo rigid training by performing the positions. Fortunately, this book was able to satisfy my curiosity. I get to learn that both gender can enjoy doing yoga together.

Good and concise overview with many practical examples
Provides good structured explanation of main techniques. Includes also example programs how to start. Some more pictures could be useful, as sometimes from the text explanations it is not fully clear how to perform some poses. But overall - very good book, that can be helpful to many beginners in my view.

Yoga increases libido - case closed!
Hey you guys out there; YOGA is not just for girls and you do not even have to be in touch with your feminine side. Yoga can benefit men in so many ways and is far more gentle than vigorous exercise if you have existing health issues or injuries. Very good depictions of poses and I thought the extensive part on breathing exercises was excellent and even if you do not take anything else away from this book; remembering breathing exercises is something of a life skill that can be used anywhere to calm and soothe your nerves and centre yourself in any bad or stressful situation. Good chapter on Yoga plans making it easy to fit them into your daily routine.

Not just for beginners
The title is misleading, as most of the poses are definitely not beginner's level. Lacked detail required for true yoga beginners (ex: image of a guy in a headstand - instructions to get into that position? "Lift body". Not very helpful). I recommend Yoga Fitness for Men, by Dean Pohlman. It is far more descriptive - and shows more images - of the moves, and more explanatory of how these moves are designed for men.
