Spitzen Taschenmesser
Tolles Taschenmesser mit sehr gutem Klingenstahl und Lockback Verriegelung. Kein EDC aber fรผr Outdoor / Wandern sehr gut.Ersetzt kein feststehendes Bushcraft Messer, aber ist sehr solide gebaut. Ich liebe es!

The AD-10's little brother.
The Ultimate Hunter is Cold Steel's answer to a smaller AD-10. Available in either black, or 'hi-viz' orange scales for easy visibility in heavy foliage, or snow. I really wanted the black-version, but got the orange in a mis-order. But actually, I like the orange version better. It can best be described: as light, sharp, and solid. Tough enough to be a camp, or woods-folder; yet light-enough to be an EDC. Knife-action was a little tight from the box, but a little Militec fixed that. Pretty easy to set-up for left-handed orientation, and conveniently drilled for a lanyard. I routinely pocket the larger XL's from Cold Steel, and didn't notice the carry weight at all. Purchased this folder for under a hundred on Amazon, which was the best price around! Triad lock makes the blade snap-into-place, rock-solid. Add-in, the S35VN steel alloy, and you can't beat it for quality. Great folder, and I recommend it.

Stop Spending Money On Cheap Knives
Why spend $50 for a cheap knock off knife made with low quality parts. Spend a few dollars more and get this Ultimate Hunter from Cold Steel before they are gone. American S35VN steel that has proven itself on a solid Cold Steel platform with a lock up that can't be beat. If you take care of this knife, it might be the last folder you will ever need to buy. I carried and still have the original SRK, and several Cold Steel models with S35VN blades. They hold a great edge and I only need to make a few passes on my ceramic honer once or twice a month if I am using one of the knives regularly to keep a fine edge. At under $90, it is not just a deal, it is a steal! The Ultimate Hunter comes with a flat saber grind, not a convex grind. That is a plus as far as I am concerned. I have purchased all my Cold Steel knives from Cold Steel. They all have great fit and finish and the blades are all fairly centered. Cold Steel also uses lock tight on all of the screws so you don't have to worry about these coming apart on you after a few weeks of use. Of the 4 folder models I have, the Ultimate Hunter is my favorite. This will meet most of your work, hunting and survival needs and is an excellent choice as an all around EDC. This is a heavy duty knife to get work done. If you are looking for a fast fancy flipping tactical knife, this is not the knife for you. If you need a tough knife to get work done, I highly recommend the Ultimate Hunter.

A beautiful Trifecta
I'm a big fan of Cold Steel S35VN, and the Ultimate Hunter is no exception.I ordered the black version because it was $10 cheaper, but to my surprise an orange one showed up, which is what I actually wanted but was too cheap to spend extra for it. So, it worked out well for me getting the color I wanted and saving the $10.These 3 knives are an excellent family, and I highly recommend them all.Medium (Ultimate Hunter), Large (AD10), and X-Large (4Max Scout). This is a review of the Ultimate Hunter (bottom).I love CS, but some of their knives come stiff and gritty. I generally break them down, clean them, apply some KPL to the pivot, with blue Loctite for the screws on the way out. That wasn't necessary with this UH.The S35VN satin blade came flawless and was shaving sharp right out of the box. No strop needed. The grind was crisp and even, and the blade was perfectly centered with excellent detent. Thumb flicking is easy.I wish CS would offer their knives in micarta, but the G10 is fine and fits my L-XL hands well and is quite comfortable. The scale/spine thumb jimping is nice and allows you to really lock in.Overall, it does ride a bit big in the pocket, but within reason for a knife this size. The pocket clip is a bit excessive, but it's fine. It does offer some lefty love with an extra included clip. The weight is good for a knife this size. The one drawback is that I wish it had some semblance of a sharpening choil, but it's not even close to being a deal breaker.I'm also a big fan of the Triad lock (shocker, I know). It's amazing. That, coupled with an S35VN blade make this a no brainer if you can catch it on sale in the $70-75 range. Highly recommended.
