This is a good watch if you like large watches with a metal case and a good amount of weight. They are easy to read at night with a bright light. The battery will need to be replaced (depending on how often you use that light effects that a lot) after about 18 to 24 months for me. It has quite a few functions, but the alarm sound is not very loud. I do wear mine daily and have purchased a second one as a backup since the first has gone through 3 Alaska years. It still looks great, but you can tell that it's a "work watch." I would definitely recommend this watch if you don't mind the size and weight. (INSIDER TIP: If your light starts to dim DON'T assume that the watch is dying like some other watches. Get a new battery and you should be good to go again !!)

The display is a little dimmer than I'd like, but it's a tactical watch so the dim display makes sense. The instruction book is a little weak. I can't get the watch to chime or alarm no matter what I try. Still, it's a unique and manly watch and I like it!

It’s now May 19th and it broken, backlit not working rear plate popped a screw off so waterproofing is toast. Barely readable and just all around CRAP! Tried to request a refund or repair and they said no because my “30 day return policy was up. Trash from a trash company.

Solid find from a previously unknown brand. High-end appearance though very heavy and thick. Ton of obscure features of which I only use the main/time/date, alarm, chrono, and timer settings. Get rid of the other crap and make the watch 1/2 as thick/light?? Jeez About the thickness, I can't quite wear it with any of my buttoned cuff long sleevedshirts, and it's a pain in the 4SS to put a jacket on with this behemoth. But the most critical aspect for me is the weight/comfort. I get a very uncomfortable and bizarre wrist pain when I wear this watch. Thinking it's the band, I've swapped the green band for the black silicone -- those in the box which was a VERY nice feature. But I'm now ordering a separate North Edge band, hoping it will resolve this issue. I think it's the weight of the watch head as it slides into a certain position on my wrist and pinched a vein or something just enough to cause discomfort. Maybe it's just me. 🤷‍♂️ Try it before you scroll past this watch. 👀 I've worn a Samsung smartwatch for years and got tired of all the gadgets/apps that work part of the time -- and those watches have some heft to them. And do you REALLY have to know EVERYTHING that's popping up on your smartphone?? Insanity. But, yeah, this North Edge watch is twice as heavy and probably 25% thicker than my Samsung watch. It's solid!-- no doubt!! So there's no fear of banging/breaking it on something. Matter of fact, you might break something by hitting your watch on it. I was play fighting with a nephew, and, when we were done, I noticed he was holding his hand and inspecting it.. Seems the watch face clipped and scratched up 2 of his knuckles, and I didn't even feel it happen. 😅🤷‍♂️ It's a mixed bag for me. I **really** want to like this watch and throw 5 stars on it, but the weight/comfort ruins the appeal of such a high-end design and general practicality. Just try it. See if it works for you.

No one knows what a timex is anymore, and people are walking around like they're in a daze, completely oblivious to the passage of time. It's like we're all living in a never-ending episode of The Twilight Zone! But fear not, my friends, because the North Edge Apache Tactical Sports Watch has saved the day. Not only does it fit perfectly on my wrist (no more fumbling with those tiny watch straps), but it also makes me feel like a secret agent on a mission to bring time-telling back to the masses. This item is not ready for sale. What works: Time Day/date/year Chronograph (stopwatch) Timer Backlight What doesn't (marginal complaint): Altimeter Barometer What doesn't (major complaint in more detail): Temperature - temperature was about 12 degrees Fahrenheit over. This allows for a manual adjustment to the baseline. But this shouldn't be necessary. It also increased/decreased the temperature depending if the watch is being worn or not. Not reliable. Pedometer (step counter) - The step counter requires initial calibration, which is acceptable in order to be accurate. Despite my attempts to do so, it simply does not count steps reliably. The counter will progress in a seemingly normal fashion before periodically stopping, then several seconds later the number of counted steps jumps abruptly and the new count is off by varying degrees accuracy. And the biggest fault, is the Pedometer must be turned on/off to function. Nobody wants to do this. Closing summary: This is a nice looking watch that is functional as a watch only. The secondary features which are likely the primary reason behind why someone would purchase this, simply do not work reliably at any feasible measure. Another major infraction is the included paper manual, which is primarily written in Chinese. The English portion of the manual is very difficult to understand. This can make the setup very difficult for older customers who are not comfortable with technology. I cannot recommend this item.

I'm stuck in a no-smartwatch zone, so I thought this alternative would be a lifesaver. Unfortunately, it's been a major letdown. The black background makes it impossible to see the time, and don't even get me started on the backlight - it's utterly useless. To top it off, it's a bit too heavy. Not worth the price tag, if you ask me.
