I love working with this stuff it makes my hair look and smell great. It will also never wash off your hands and if you try and then dry your hands using your favorite hand towel you will get Kevin Murphy putty all over your favorite hand towel and it will surely never come off no matter how many times you wash it and how hard you wash it. But if the cute guy at the bar is seeing your bathroom hand towels, that means the hair worked and it was all worth it.

Happy to have found something that actually works for my hair! I have hair that’s a bit on the thinner side and I have a ton of it. I’m also a female and have an alternative hairstyle. A little goes a long way for me. I like the scent. It’s pretty easy to use. I expect this to last me quite a while. The hold is excellent without look greasy or feeling like cement.

I switched over from Kevin Murphy Free Hold to this product. I was looking for stronger hold and a more natural matte shine. This product delivers both. It easily allows me to achieve the style I am looking for. Out of the jar this product is very hard and needs to be warmed up in your hands to be moldable before application. A little goes a long way, you can always apply more, so I anticipate this lasting a long time. The scent is subtle and pleasant, less than other Kevin Murphy hair pomades. This holds my hair all day, allows for readjustment, and keeps my hair feeling healthy. The reason for 4/5 is the washability. Although this product doesn't appear greasy in your hair it definitely feels like it. You will absolutely need to shampoo your hair after using this product. A water rinse will not even phase it. So if you're someone who doesn't like to shampoo daily, this product might not be for you.

My go to hair stuff. It smells really great, kind of like a subtle sweet, clay, sandalwood type smell. Basically the opposite of 'manly' body spray, in your face type lab smells. Really natural, holds great in my fine hair and I love the thick and clay-like consistency. Origin Story: Funny, the first time I ever used this was in about 7 years ago in a Crunch gym in San Francisco. I was the last person in the locker room before closing time, and I saw that someone had left a brand new, large size of this product. As I left, I grabbed it to drop it off at the front desk, and in the doorway of the locker room I passed a giant muscle man. I said 'hey' but he just mean mugged me and said nothing, which I laughed at. As I went to pull the container out of my pocket to give to the front desk, I realized that big boy was probably going back to get what he left. I slid it back into my pocket and have loved this stuff ever since. Thanks tough guy!

This stuff is so incredibly thick it’s difficult to use. I feel like I’m going to pull my hair out running it through my hair. Smells decent though. Update: it's also greasy difficult to wash out and just gives my hair a bad look. Only hair product I've ever thrown away before running out.

I had been using Da Wax for a while, which is interestingly not on Amazon anymore. Good riddance. The quality went downhill quickly, so I looked for a replacement. This stuff is awesome. Smells like you're spiking your hair up with a glazed donut. My girlfriend loves it. She can play with my hair without her hands getting coated in product. It looks natural with no shine, smells good, and lasts perpetually. And I mean perpetually. You REALLY need to wash your hair thoroughly to get this stuff out. 5 stars all day.

While the hold and smell are great, the formula can be a total pain to work with. It is a very heavy, waxy clay, and if you use even a tiny bit too much, your hair goes from styled to looking greasy almost instantly. I also noticed that the diatomaceous earth they use for the matte finish can make my hair feel weirdly frizzy and full of static if I apply it to dry hair. The only way I can get it to look right is by applying it to damp hair, which helps it spread and settles the frizz. The upside is that it is a really high-end product with natural ingredients and a scent that is actually subtle and masculine instead of smelling like a chemistry lab. When you nail the application, the texture is exactly what you want for a messy, strong-hold look. It feels premium in your hands and the packaging is cool, but for the price, I expected it to be a bit more user-friendly. My biggest gripe is the washout. It is incredibly stubborn and usually takes two rounds of shampoo to get it all out of my hair. If you don't mind the extra effort in the shower and you're willing to experiment with applying it while your hair is still wet, it's a solid clay.

# Preis / Leistung Das Wax kostet beim Friseur bei mir vor Ort 23,00 €, somit ist es über Amazon auch günstiger, nicht deutlich aber man spart minimal Geld. Es ist durchaus teuer, aber es lohnt sich tatsächlich. Ich habe als Mann kurze Haare und komme mit einer Packung etwa 8-9 Monate aus. Ich style meine Haare jetzt nicht 7 Tage in der Woche aber im Schnitt etwa 3-5 Mal, je nach Jahreszeit. # Geruch und Konsistenz Der Geruch ist natürlich vor allem für Männer etwas "gewöhnungsbedürftig", da er nicht herb riecht, sondern süßlich. Man kann den Geruch wirklich schwer irgendwo einordnen. Ich persönlich würde mir vom Geruch betrachtet das Wax auch aufs Brot schmieren :). Ich finde den Geruch persönlich sehr gelungen und rieche es extrem gern. Man riecht es auch tatsächlich ab und an, wen man es in der Haaren hat. Als kleiner Tipp: je nachdem welches Parfum man mag, kann man hier ggf. abschätzen, ob man auch den Duft von dem Wax mag. Ich persönlich bin ein Fan von den leicht süßen Düfte, wie One Million, Spicebomb, Gaultier 2, Le Malle etc. Die Konsistenz ist für mich auch super. Das Wax ist anfangs sehr hart, verteilt sich aber durch die Reibung in den Händen sehr schnell. Man benötigt auch nur eine sehr kleine Menge davon. Ich selbst nehme nur eine kleine Fingerspitze voll. # Anwendung und Halt Ich persönlich verwende es immer im trockenen Haar. Ich habe es auch in leicht feuchtem Haar getestet, bin da aber nicht so zufrieden gewesen, da darunter der Halt beim direkten verteilen leidet. Ich föne meine Haare vorher in eine Grundform trocken und verteile das Wax dann im trockenen Haar. Die Haare nehmen sofort die Form an, die man mit der Hand zieht. Der Halt ist perfekt... Ich sprühe ganz zum Schluss nochmal Haarspray für den endgültigen Halt rein, was aber nicht wirklich notwendig ist # Kleines Manko Das Auswaschen könnte man eventuell als kleines Manko sehen. Meine Haare sind sehr strapazierbar, sodass ich manchmal die Haare abends nicht auswasche und das Wax drin lasse. Am nächsten Morgen stehen zwar einige Strähnen ab, aber man kann diese wieder zurechtziehen und muss sich theoretisch die Haare nicht neu machen. Also ich habe es schon mehrfach erlebt das ich quasi mit "gestylten" Haaren aufgestanden bin - meine Freundin ist hier nahezu verblüfft. Das Auswaschen ist nicht sooo leicht. Die Inhaltsstoffe in dem Wax sind relativ hochwertig, sodass auch zum Teil echtes Bienenwachs verwendet wird. Das ist natürlich nicht ohne weiteres mal in 20Sekunden auswaschbar. Ich habe gute Erfahrungen mit dem Fructis Shampoo in der Kombination gemacht. Von mir absolute 5 Sterne !!

Great product with a reliable, all-day hold that remains completely invisible in the hair. It keeps the natural texture without looking greasy or stiff. Huge bonus: the natural ingredients don't sting my eyes when I'm running or sweating. Fast delivery, too. Will definitely be buying again.
