To summerize, these chisels chip insanely easily and I don't mean the microscopic kind, I'm talking serious damage that takes hours of grinding when doing light pairing work.I'm an apprentice of a high end furniture maker and sculpter and for christmas he gave me this set and from the very first time I sharpened them (1500# waterstone and strop) which took 2hrs with all of the flattening required, they have given me nothing but greif. The first chip was actually my fault, the 25mm rolled off my workbench and took a nosedive directly into my bitbrace which required about 5mm to be ground off. After regrinding the bevel (with waterstone wheel) I proceeded to make a rack for them out of black cherry so it would never happen again. Both the 12mm and 6mm chisels chipped fairly substantially just from pairing end grain and side grain creating the slots for each chisel and the 25mm chipped just as badly as the first time (3mm more to grind away) from the same pairing. After several more hours of grinding and honing and establishing microbevels in a hope of strengthening the edge I thought they'd actually work and attempted to chop a mortice (with a 375g chisel hammer) in osage orange while still green (so much softer) 3 minutes in and about 6mm down this happened while carefully ejecting the waste.These chisels have been an absolute nightmare while they take a nice razer edge, they are too brittle to do anything other than shave your arm and cut paper. They're destined for a shelf in a dark place. I'm off to buy a lot of vintage nomi that I can actually use.

1" chisel had a small chip on the outside edge. I spent time removing it on my sharpening stone. Didn't expect to do that for the price paid. Disappointed. Wood case was ok but cheap plastic holder for each chisel. Didn't expect that for the price paid. Disappointed again. Would not recommend.

Excelent chisels. Although advertisment sated can be used out of the box, small tunning is needed. The largest chisel came with a micro ding in one corner. I had to repair the bevel to eliminate the ding. Overall an excelent product

I haven't tried these out yet, but they're a good weight in the hand and appear to be pretty good quality. They may need a sharpening / edge straightening before first use, but that's normal. Feels like these will last.

I gave this as a gift to my son who does lots of woodworking. He said the tool works very well and he is very happy with it.
