MaxMark Dater 4000 Self Inking Date Stamp

I bought this for my small business and so far, it has done exactly what it's meant to do. The stamped dates are clean and clear. I'd definitely advise stamping a few times on a piece it's scrap paper or something before using on documents if you haven't used it in a few days. 8/10 stars for ease of use (you're probable going to get ink on your fingers the first few uses) 9/10 stars for legibility of the stamping 8/10 for ease of aligning where the stamp will go. It takes a little while to figure out where the stamp's going to land. Overall I'd call it a solid 8-8.5 of 10 star item and will definitely buy another one if this one ever stops working for any reason

They refunded my money, and sent me a brand new stamper. This stamper is amazing. The gears don't slip, and it worked lettering the first time. Thank you so much for the amazing customer service. I'm not sure if I received a dud, but the stamper I received is not working properly. The only way to set the date is to manually turn the gears. The gears are so messed up andwillnot turn properly, they slip a lot. It took about an hour to set the correct date. When I finally got it set my hands and the stamper were completely covered in ink. The only good thing about this stamper is the ink. After scrubbing my hands twice, my fingers are still black. The picture is after scrubbing my hands twice. I will be returning this item.

Light weight, perfect size numbers

It arrived and is smaller than expected, which was great for me. I am using it to date pages in a passport sized notebook. So I want something unobtrusive and portable. It's been working great. The ink color is as expected and as pictured. Smooth mechanical action when you stamp. I think it'll be a great value as long as it doesn't dry out too quickly - only time will tell. The font is clear and almost exactly the size of dollar bill serial numbers. One nit pick for it would be that theres no blank for the year. You can choose a blank instead of a zero for the days but you always have to have a year selected. I think people saying they got ink on themselves changing the date are kind of silly. The turn wheels are completely out of the way of the stamp. The only way to get ink on yourself outside of directly stamping yourself is if youve been stamping multiple times, the rectangular frame/guard will pick up ink from previous stamps that are still wet on the page. Then you might touch the guard that's been indirectly inked by your old stamps. Otherwise the turn wheels to select dates are completely away from the inked heads. Getting ink on yourself is just careless at that point. I've been using it daily with zero self inkage. Id buy another if I lost mine.

Better than expected. Cute, tiny little bit of a thing fits nicely in my briefcase. I've attached a small magnet to the top rear of the cute little quality date stamp so it doesn't rattle around and get hurt. Don't even think about it. If you need one, this is the one. This is the one that you wished you had even if you don't need one, 🫠

Unfortunately this wouldn’t work for the application I needed it to, but it does work as advertised. I bought it to stick dates on door hangars for my business to hand out, but that type of ink smudges and wipes right off. That said, it works as it should and is clear on paper

Good product. Perfect size digits, easy to read and easy to change from day-to-day. I thought about buying a black ink one also.

Saw a few bad reviews, but decided to give it a shot. Sadly, I will be sending this back. The wheels to adjust the stamp are very flimsy and if they turn at all, they don't reliably advance the text. My fingers were covered in ink just trying to change the date, but the wheels are too shallow even with my small hands. Once I had positioned the stamp to test it, which was awkward because there wasn't the typical "click in place" feeling one normally gets with a date stamp, the image didn't imprint well even though it was lined up, and my test page was on a flat hard surface.

Turned up, got it out the box, went to change the date, and the wheel for the first number broke, and now just spins. I can’t change the date- waste of money and poor quality. FYI: You also get ink all over your fingers when you change the date - frustrating but not the end of the world.

Red date stamp. Easy to change the date and the little guards on it help keep your fingers from getting ink all over them when you need to change it. Solid stamp overall!
