Wow--- this works! Ok- the smell is not that bad... not a chemical smell because it is REAL, not synthetic. We use this on all of our plants (even in the greenhouse where the smell could get bad--- just slight smell for 1/2 a day). We are all organic, and this is what has helped our plants thrive (peppers, dill, basil, tomatoes, watermelon, corn, beans, squash, pumpkins, daisy flowers, sedum, begonia, inpatients, fuchsia, chives, oregano, thyme, lettuce, strawberries... I can go on and on). We have a short and intense growing season in South Dakota--- this has given us peppers in June vs. late July/August. Thank you for using the methods from the olden days--- organic!

For the last 4 years, I growing quite a few veggies, greens, and herbs in my basement under LED lighting. Previous to trying the fertilizer, I was using a quality (and expensive) chemical fertilizer for my tomatoes and peppers. As far as I was concerned, all of my plants looked good and were producing well. I was told once that if "It's not broke, don't fix it." I have always questioned, "If you don't know it's broke, how do you know you should fix it?" I read an article about using chemical fertilizers vs. natural for herb, that mentioned chemical fertilizer inhibit the ability of herbs to produce the essential oils necessary for scent and flavor. So, I decided to try the fish and seaweed fertilizer for my herbs in this brand at 7.5 ml. per gallon. Within a month, of using this fertilizer, I couldn't believe the difference in my herbs. When I brushed my hand over my lemon thyme, my hand smelled like lemon!! The scent of all of my herbs was so much more potent than it had ever been. Mind you, most of my pepper and tomato plants are 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 years old. I had noticed a build up of minerals on the tops of the pots and also in the pot bottoms, and I generally flush the soil in every pot at least 3-4 times a year. What I found out is that chemical fertilizers can leave a buildup in the soil. So, I decided to try this fertilizer for my veggie greens, tomatoes and peppers. I have been using this fertilizer for 3-4 weeks, but I am already seeing a huge difference in my plants. All of my plants are developing more lush foliage. Once the fruiting plants start developing flowers, I switch over to the Neptune's Harvest Rose and Flowering Formula which helps them to develop more flowers and larger fruits. As I clean the chemical buildup from the pots and pot bottoms, I am not seeing this buildup again. When I used to flush the soil in the pots, the water that drained out literally looked like a dark coffee color. This isn't happening now either. It will take a bit of time for me to get the chemical buildup flushed from all my plants, but I am looking forward to having healthy and happy tomatoes and peppers for a few more years. Pepper plants, if properly cared for can live and produce for over 5 years. My bush cherry tomatoes have the same life expectancy. I believe this fertilizer will help all of them to live and produce for a few more years. When viewing the pictures, keep in mind all of these plants have been grown indoors for at least 2 years. Some of the pepper plants have been cut back to promote new growth. I hope this review was helpful for you. I will update my review if my opinion changes.
