I live in a flat and tend to move between different adjoining rooms to game, so wanted a good bluetooth dongle that could handle the long distance between the two rooms. I have tried many others and they were all useless past a certain distance and caused my controllers to disconnect midway through games (always at the worst times as well). I installed this on a long extended active USB 3 cable and placed it slap bang between the two rooms and now everything connects instantly and doesn't drop out at the most annoying times!I Drivers installed instantly with Windows 11 so no faff required. The UB5A usb Bluetooth adapter that I received is boxed and badged as a v5.3 however device manager is reporting it as a v5.4. There is also reference to both on the product page??? I can only assume it has been updated? That aside I have plugged it into a Windows 11 PC where it was instantly recognised and working. I am using it to connect simultaneously to a Logitech MX mini keyboard and a Bose sound system. Both are near to the PC. Connectivity is stable and working very well together.

Fantastic for the price. It comes out of the box pretty much ready for use. In my circumstance, I'm using it on my PC so I can use my BT speaker (JBL Flip 6) for it. If you're doing the same, I recommend going to the manufacturer website for the appropriate drivers and NOT relying on the automatically downloaded Windows drivers, otherwise, you'll have trouble connecting.

Purchased a MiSTer FPGA Multisystem 2 and I wanted to add Bluetooth to the system. I plugged this TP-Link UB5A Nano into a rear usb port and switched on. Bluetooth device was recognised and I did not need to mess with finding drivers, it just worked. I paired my PS4 Controller and have been happily using it ever since.
