The 12.5' Soctone ladder is a good buy.
The 12.5' Soctone telescoping ladder works well. It is not a light weight thing, but is not very heavy for a ladder and is easy to carry. It extends and retracts well. It can be extended so the un-extended rungs are at the top or near the bottom by starting to extend the rungs from the bottom or from the top. If you start extending the rungs from the top, you have to extend the ladder all the way up for it to stay up. If you start extending the ladder from the bottom, the ladder can be extended part of the way up leaving the un-extended rungs at the top. This is not a problem, just something to know. It is sturdy but does have a little flex. It feels safe and works well. I am glad I bought it.

Excellent product, definitely recommend!
This ladder is reliable & easy to use. The compact form hides easily in the cost closet in the winter, because we use it to shovel off our roof. It’s not very heavy, it’s lighter than a bag of dog food kibble.

A Sturdy, Space-Saving Ladder for Home and Outdoor Use
I purchased the Telescoping Ladder, SocTone 12.5 FT Aluminum Lightweight Extension Ladder primarily for accessing my high ceilings and attic without the hassle of a bulky traditional ladder. It has proven to be a reliable and incredibly convenient tool for various household tasks. Key Highlights: Compact & Portable: The best feature is how small it collapses (down to about 2.8 feet). It fits easily in my closet or the trunk of my car, which is a major space saver. Sturdy Construction: The high-quality aluminum alloy build makes it feel solid and capable. It supports up to a 330-pound capacity, and the included triangle stabilizers effectively reduce wobble, making me feel secure when climbing. Easy to Use: Extending the ladder is straightforward, and the smart locking pins snap into place securely. It's a great choice for quick jobs like changing light bulbs or cleaning windows. Things to Consider: Weight: While described as "lightweight" for its size, some users (and I would agree) find it can be heavy to carry with one hand for extended periods, so be prepared for that. Foot Comfort: The rungs are a bit narrow, so you'll want to wear solid-soled shoes if you plan on standing on it for a long time. The Main Negative (CRITICAL FLAW): Pinch Hazard During Retraction: My one major negative is when you go to collapse it. The sections crash down surprisingly fast and will pinch your fingers badly if you aren't extremely careful and follow the instructions precisely. It needs a better slow-descent mechanism. Overall Impression: The Telescoping Ladder, SocTone 12.5 FT Aluminum Lightweight Extension Ladder is a practical and well-made tool, perfect for occasional home use. It offers great value and saves significant storage space. However, due to the fast retraction and pinch hazard, I can't give it a perfect score. You need to be very mindful every time you close it.

Great portable ladder
I was skeptical of telescoping ladders for a long time but found myself needing a compact ladder that could allow me to reach the top of a vehicle that is roughly 10 feet tall. Without getting a huge standard ladder and putting it on a ladder rack on the roof (not an option in my case), or taking up huge amounts of room inside, I finally decided to take a chance and give this one a try. It checked all the boxes, so, on paper at least, it seemed great. I’m truly impressed by how light it is compared to almost any other ladder I’ve owned. It’s simple to carry around and setting it up couldn’t be simpler. It can extend even higher than I will likely ever need so I have the option to use it only partly extended, which feels sturdier, though I’m not sure how much difference that really makes. But I have the option to stay relatively low, or to reach even higher places, if needed. It locks securely in place when you extend each section so it feels very secure. When completely retracted to its smallest size it stores away easily until I need it again. One feature I wasn’t expecting is that, when lowering each section, it stops just above where your fingers might get pinched, so I think you would have to really try to smash a fingie with this. It’s a little bit bendy if you have the base out too far, but finding the balance between stability and not bowing the thing too much is pretty easy. Overall, I’m very pleased with it. I expect it to get a lot of use and I feel safe climbing it. It’s versatile enough that I expect to have it with me even when the current use case ends.

Sturdy and well made.
Awesome design, easy to store and transport, easy to extend and collapse, nice materials used. I tried a different brand ladder also but this brands quality is better and more sturdy and reliable.

Easy to use, takes no storage space, wide rungs and sturdy.
Easy to use, very sturdy with wide runs. Cushion on each section does not allow the section to pinch fingers or hands when you are collapsing the ladder. Ladders in the 12’ range can easily run over $200.00

Good quality ladder
Great price and not too flexible. Quite sturdy. I was not afraid to use it and I don't really like going on a ladder!

Quality build, compact and easy to use
So far so good! This looks and feels like it should be more expensive! Works exactly as described, folds up to an easy to manage size, just be aware it’s heavier than it looks. Great for storage and small jobs around the house. Obviously it’s designed for specific projects and certainly won’t work for every job but so far it’s done the trick. Silly, but I really like the telescoping feature, it’s very satisfying 🙂

Very convenient. Keep it clean and dry
Four stars because time will tell. They are indeed very convenient and so I am hopeful this one lasts as the one I had before (different brand) failed in less than a year and the warranty wasn’t worth the paper it was written on. I remain hopeful.
