Loved it
Grumpy boss with feelings that run deeper than he wants to admit? Umm, yes please! I absolutely LOVED my first experience with this new-to-me author's work - the story gave me Spanish Love Deception/Love Hypothesis vibes, and that's honestly one of the highest compliments I can pay a book right now. This slow burning love story had me HOOKED the whole way through, and I loved the dynamic between this couple. Our hero is the typical moody, broody billionaire, but he's got a marshmallow heart for only one girl. His assistant, Iris, has put up with his grumpy demands for the last few years, and she's the only one who has stuck by his side. I've been loving marriage of convenience romances recently, and this one works so well. They have a history to build on, plenty of chemistry, and the shift in their dynamic shakes things up. I loved it! The story follows Iris, a woman whose boss doesn't always appreciate her hard work. She's been working for Declan for the last three years, and it's a little shocking to everyone that she's lasted this long. Iris even arranged a marriage of convenience for Declan, only to have it fall apart at the last minute. Declan's job is the most important thing in his life, and he needed that marriage to make things work. So what does this great employee do? Offer to marry her boss, of course. They may not like each other very much, but they've figured each other out over the years, and surely a marriage - on paper - can't be that bad. But things quickly feel more real than anticipated, and it's not long before Declan and Iris are seeing each other in an entirely new light. This plays with a variety of tropes - enemies to lovers, age gap (24/36), office romance, marriage of convenience, grumpy/sunshine - and yet it still feels fresh and vibrant. I loved the tropey goodness as much as I loved the unique, swoony vibes, and I was rooting for this unlikely couple from the very beginning. They have an easiness to their relationship that's in direct contrast to their constant clashes, and it was so engrossing to watch the sexual tension escalate. It's a slow burn in many ways, though you can tell that emotions run deeper than either of these commitment-phobic individuals will acknowledge. Watching them try to get it right was light and funny one minute, a little angsty the next, tension-filled - and infinitely compelling. This may be my first time reading something by the author, but it will certainly not be the last. Eagerly anticipating the next installment from this series of interconnected standalones.

I'd have been fine if Rowan was eaten by an elephant.
This was a solid, enjoyable read, but not a standout for me. The writing is strong overall. I loved the growth Iris' character had, but honestly, Declan felt a little flat. Thankfully, Iris absolutely shines. Her banter, wit, and inner dialogue carried the book and kept me engaged. I loved the side characters and the reference to Santiago from Lauren Asher's F1 series. Who doesn't love a little crossover. I love Asher's representation of characters with learning disabilities. Much like the sister in Fine Print, this novel has a heavy focus on a learning disability and how it can be overcome. We need more of that positivity out there! That said, I wanted more. There was yearning, but not nearly enough to fully sell me on the romance, and Declan felt lacking, even for a grumpy billionaire MMC. His emotional arc didn’t hit as hard as it should have. The spice was good once it arrived, but the slow burn leaned a little too slow for my taste. I also found the formatting of the non-English words distracting, even though the intention behind it was genuinely sweet. Like possibly the sappiest sweetest part of the entire book. Overall, it’s a good book, just not as strong as the first installment. I’ll absolutely be continuing the series because the foundation is there—it just didn’t quite reach its full potential for me this time. 📚✨

HOT HOT HOT
Declan is ready to be the next CEO of his family’s company. However, when his grandfather passed, part of his inheritance clause included him getting married and having an heir. This proves to be quite difficult because Declan is not the type to waste his time with dating and relationships. Iris has been Declan’s assistant for many years and is given the task of weeding through various options for Declan’s future wife. When the woman who agreed to marry Declan backed out on the day of their engagement party, Iris had the grand idea of agreeing to marry Declan to help her friend. They would marry, act in love for the public, have a baby, and convince Declan’s grandfather’s lawyer that their relationship is real, all so Declan could gain his inheritance and claim his position as CEO. Sounds simple, right? WRONG! Because Declan and Iris have always had an unspoken attraction towards each other. Iris is the one person who is able to see past Declan’s grumpy facade and see who he really is. Declan cares about Iris more than he likes to admit. The more time they spend together, the more they realize they’re not faking their relationship anymore. Y’all this book was everything I dreamed of. The anticipation was well worth it. First off, the second I started reading this book I just felt the good vibes— it genuinely made me happy to read it. I was grinning like a dummy through 90% of the book!!! You could sense Iris and Declan’s chemistry right away and it made my heart so happy. And let’s get real, Declan is not the most expressive person when it comes to his feelings, HOWEVER, I loved seeing the little ways he showed Iris he cared. And Iris Elizabeth Kane, WOWWWW. This woman is everything. She is probably one of my top 5 favorite book characters of all time. Iris’ energy is truly amazing and I can’t help but want to be her friend. She is so genuine and caring for everyone in her life. She is a badass black woman who is kind, beautiful, hardworking, and resilient in so many ways. You can’t help but fall in love with her. And the fact she’s the one person that can keep Declan in line is so hot. She can push his buttons and get away with it when he’d probably fire or physically harm anyone else who’d try to do the same. I can’t forget to mention Cal!!!! Cal and Iris’ friendship was so cute and I was not expecting that so it was a pleasant surprise! The little breadcrumbs about Cal and Alana made me sooooo excited for Cal’s book. I just know it’s going to be amazing. Esp bc miss Lauren mentioned Alana will be Latina!!!!!!! I’m not going to lie, Declan pissed me off a lot lol. And after the 3rd act conflict, I had a hard time forgiving him lol. I felt like he could have done a lot more groveling but its fine, i’m fine. The epilogue and extended epilogue made me forget all of his wrongs. Lauren Asher has a way of writing epilogues that truly feel magical. I felt this way when I read the dirty air epilogues and I feel the same for the dreamland billionaire series. I was crying throughout both epilogues because they’re just so beautiful and wholesome and I literally just want that HEA for myself 😫 My last comment is I LOVED how she incorporated F1 racers and MY MAN SANTI into Terms and Conditions. You literally don’t understand the rush of dopamine I felt when Santi was mentioned!!! My heart was so happy and I love miss Lauren for that!

Lauren Asher delivers again with a slow-burn romance
Terms and Conditions by Lauren Asher is a slow-burn romance story. It pulled me in from the start, and I could not put it down. This is the second book from the Dreamland Billionaires series. It can be read as a standalone book, but I recommend reading The Fine Print book first. Declan and Iris enter into a marriage of convenience. What I enjoyed most was how the author was able to blend banter, vulnerability, and tension. Declan comes across as a very cold and calculated guy, but he has good character development throughout the story. Iris is smart, loyal, and refuses to let Declan’s walls push her away. Their dynamic is built on chemistry but also on the challenges of learning to trust and open up. Some moments were a bit repetitive, and I felt the pacing dragged here and there, but overall, it kept me hooked and made me root for them.

A Slow Burn That Missed the Spark
I was so excited to dive into the second book in the 𝑫𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒎𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑩𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒔 series, especially since the first one had me hooked. Declan’s story promised so much intrigue, and I couldn’t wait to see how his dynamic with Iris would unfold. Unfortunately, this slow burn romance was a little too slow for my liking. Declan and Iris had a lot of potential. Both characters carried emotional baggage, including commitment and daddy issues, which could have created layers of depth and complexity. But instead of feeling emotionally connected, I found myself skimming pages, hoping for something more to happen. The tension between them fizzled rather than sizzled, and the pacing made it hard to stay engaged. The plot leaned heavily on forced proximity and marriage of convenience tropes, which are usually favorites of mine. However, their chemistry lacked the intensity to make those tropes work effectively. While the writing had moments of charm and wit, the story overall felt repetitive and predictable. If you’re a fan of ultra-slow burns and enjoy watching two emotionally stunted characters slowly navigate their way to love, this might be for you. Personally, I was expecting the emotional highs and lows that made the first book so captivating. This one left me feeling underwhelmed. ⭐️⭐️ 1/2 𝒔𝒕𝒔𝒓𝒔

Grumpy Billionaire Boss vs Plant Lady Assistant
When one thinks of an assistant, one might think of jack of all trades when it comes to the business world. After all, they often have to tackle just about any challenge that is thrown at them. But does MARRIAGE fall into that as well?!?! What else is a world class assistant supposed to do when after all of her hard work of finding a suitable bride for her ridiculously picky boss falls apart and he is fiancé-less in the moment he MUST have a future bride in order to get closer to the CEO position/inheritance left by his grandfather? When it’s clearly your job to help fix those problems, you step in and fix it the best possible way, with yourself. Luckily, Iris has had a few years to get used to her boss and has absolutely NO problems going head-to-head with her boss to ensure her voice is heard during their arguments. What follows is an amazing story about two people, both with their own battles, and both who need to learn to not only trust each other with their hearts, but themselves enough to let go of their pasts that prevent them from embracing their futures. Get ready to laugh out loud and cheer on these characters as they grow and fall in love even though they try everything in their power to prevent it. This story made me not only laugh out loud A LOT, but stop and think REFLECTIVELY about my own past. I rarely have read a story like this in which I connected to each of the main characters so much. I LOVED so many aspects of this book and am truly worried that this review won’t do it justice. From giving us a main character with a learning disability (I see the trend you’re setting Ms. Asher and I am HERE FOR IT!) and showing us that a cactus can prove a person is a true softy inside, this book is a full 5 stars. Terms and Conditions would actually be a great book to read for a Book Club because it provides some FANTASTIC talking points and is truly that good!!! These characters were very well written and their arcs were fantastic. Comparing this to the first book is difficult because it truly is apples to oranges; they both clearly belong to the same fruit basket, but are completely unique. I did find the growth of the father, to be a bit backwards. He seemed to be beginning his own redemption journey at the end of the first book, but then took 20 steps backwards in this one. Don’t get me wrong, it made for some FANTASTIC scenes in the book (that punch though!!), it’s more just a thought. Maybe discuss it at your own book club! Lol

Love this book
This book had me swinging my legs, blushing, and swooning. This was a good book on office romance done right I enjoyed that the FMC was Black and was well written. She held her own against Declan and everyone else. The banter, secret foreign words shared between them, he falls first, the mutual respect, care they have for each other was so nice to read. I love the inclusion and care of how the learning difference that Iris had was address. This was my first book by the author but I will be reading the rest of the series and the authors other works. I can't wait to read Cal's book

Great Chemistry and Love Story, But Too Long
🛑SPOILERS🛑 ⭐️: 4.25/5 Months ago I began to read this book due to the constant videos I watched about it on Tik Tok and BookTube. I'm going to be honest I started to read The Fine Print before, but had to DNF it due to not connecting with the story. I did not like it, but enjoyed the peaks of Iris and Declan in it. Off the bat I am going to say the book was good, however, it was way to long. To be honest it could have been cut down by a 100 pages or more. It was dragged on tremendously and I was becoming irritated and kept putting the book down because I was annoyed I wasn't even half way through it. On the other hand I really enjoyed this book and I liked that Lauren Asher, the first book I have ever read by her, didn't use smut to show the connection between the two characters. There were only two detailed scenes and they didn't happen until after 60% of the book. Instead the chemistry and attraction between Declan and Iris was prevalent from the beginning. I admired Iris for the challenges she went through and faced, but still strived to be the best. I think Asher showed ways in which parents can affect there children very much even into adulthood, Declan included. Declan grew on me 🤷🏾♀️. At first he was annoying, but as time went on he was awesome and the way he loved Iris was more than shocking. He flipped a switch out of know where and I liked the way in which he then went for Iris keeping his promise. Since I kept putting this book down and finally finishing it I am happy to say it was worthed. I did take off a star because the book was long and I wanted to see somethings play out such as Iris going back to school. But, the book was great otherwise and I think the representation of dyslexia was done greatly and respectful. First read by Lauren Asher, but won't be my last!

Beautiful, romantic, wild and funny
Iris is Declan's assistant. Declan a billionaire wants to be CEO of his organisation and oust his over bearing father. Only there is a stipulation made in his grandfather's will. He has to marry He has to have a child Nobody wants to be with Declan, he is grumpy, scary and puts women off. When his latest fiancee does a runner he is left at the engagement announcement party standing on his own. Jump in Iris his ever faithful, unfaltering assistant of three years. Only does she know what she is signing up for by suggesting to marry Declan for him to achieve his CEO dream and to have a child with him. There will be rules, terms and conditions attached to the arrangement. Can Iris live in a loveless relationship or do their feelings come to the fore? This book swept me away literally. I couldn't put it down. Asher writes beautifully, with humour and her characters are undeniably perfect. What I loved about this book: 1. Strong, fund, loyal MC Iris 2. Sexy, hot billionare Declan a mr Grumpy through and through 3. The writing style 4. The pace slow burn 5. An epilogue + an extended epilogue. I love epis at the end of a book it adds to the story. 6. A truly romantic yet humour filled romance that you simply fall in love with What I didn't like about this book: Nothing. I will be going out to buy the whole series. I absolutely fell in love with this one and Asher's style of writing. Highly recommend this book if you're looking for slow-burn romance, laughs, steamy scenes and a billionaire who is nothing but Grumpy. Kerry Kennedy Author

LOVED
“There is nothing I want more than to turn a house into a home with you.” I knew after reading the very first chapter that this was going to be a five-star read for me and it DEFINITELY was. Don't get me wrong, I loved The Fine Print but the writing, the storytelling AND the character development in Terms and Conditions was on another level. In fact, some of the best I have ever read. Lauren Asher should give herself a solid pat on the back because she rocked this book. Read time - 9h 13mins Reading sessions - 7
