Does anyone know where I can get a 1/2" IPS to fix old lamp?

I do not know why "IPS" and this socket is related to a lamp. If you have an industrial style lamp an adapter can be found at a plumbing outlet.

The knob is removable, but there is a stem that the knob screws onto which is not removable.

Not sure. I use a 50, 100, 150 lightbulb in it.
