What are the actual dimensions of the 6" filter?

Hi, Thanks for your concern. Below is the size information for MARS HYDRO 6 inch carbon filter: Opening: 6", Length: 8.27" Hope this can help you. Thanks

How often do you recommend replacing this filter?

I would just go with a 6 inch carbon filter that way it pulls out more air if a 6-in can fit than a 4 in and if you get the 6 in replace it maybe once a year depending on how much you use it and how hard you're running it

Does this 4 inch filter hook up to a 4” duct ?

Hello, Thanks for contacting us. Yes, you can use the MARS HYDRO 4 inch carbon filter with 4 inch ducting and inline fans. Hope this helps you, please feel free to contact us with any questions. Best Wishes,
