how do you delete the sounds it comes with? I plugged it in and deleted them from the folder but they still play. I can't use loop function due to it.

Audio is esaily updated by USB data cable. How to update audio? Convert the new voice into MP3 format. Connect player to computer by USB data cable. There will be a removable disk appearing on computer. Format the “removable disk”. Open that removable disk, then copy your mp3 files to this disk. (Note: Before copying, delete all Manufacturer's files frist, then copy your own files to this device.)

How long does this run on fresh AAA batteries?

Play 30 times a day, 10 seconds each time, for about 30 days. For reference only, the specific to the actual prevail, after all, each battery brand is different. This product can be powered by USB cable in addition to the use of battery power.

I want to put in a busy hallway at our museum. With people coming.going often will the song stop.start when several people walk in at the same time?

It is not based on the number of people it detects, if multiple people are within the same detection range it will only play once unless passing or leaving again or staying all the time.
