I have both the animal crossing and pokémon let’s go edition switches, is there a risk of this damaging the special design on the back of the switch?

Unsure if this would damage the printed finish as I have the standard edition would assume it would be good as have had mine fitted and used daily for more than 6 months and just removed and no signs of marks or rubbing anywhere on the console or joycons

Yes it made for the oled switch, but also fits the standard switch. Its a grip not a case and comes with 3 different size grips so am sure you will find 1 thats comfortable.

What's this like to use without the ergonomic bulbs.? Sometimes ill be carrying switch in case without the addons

Honestly, by looking at it, you might think it's uncomfortable without the grips attached. But I put mine in my case without any attached as it's only a slim case, and have the grips separate. If I just want to go on it quickly, I won't bother with putting any on, and it's still reasonably comfortable.
