Can i use this brush as my contour brush?

Of cause.Gives a even coverage and easy to reach areas like around the corners of the nose. bristles are really soft too. Gives a really good airbrush finish as well. Would definitely recommend as a staple for foundation.

This 2 pc makeup brush bristles looks dense, but is it soft?

The brushes are very soft. Great makeup brushes, especially for the price point. I've spent a lot more on "fancy" brands that were nowhere as nice as these.

Does this work as well as Revlon style foundation brush which has a different shape?

I've never used the Revlon brushes. But these by far are my favorite brushes when doing my highlighting and contouring. I bought a second set to keep lighter and darker shades separated. They also wash well. I just used warm water and baby shampoo, rinsed, let air dry, and back to just like new.

Does it pick up any makeup?

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking...but it applies foundation very nicely.
